JUNIOR SUMMER COURSE 2018: ACTIVITY PROGRAM

This activities program was developed by our 2017 Program Coordinator & the feedback from the 2017 students.

Our 2018 program includes favourite student activities while still ensuring a good mix of recreational, cultural, social and sporting activities.

The photos seen in this program were taken during the 2016 and 2017 Junior Summer Co e – a big thanks to everyone who appears!

Activities are subject to change due to student demand, availability and weather, but can be used as a guide when enrolling for the 2018 Junior Summer Course.

We hope you can join us in 2018 for a fun-filled summer while you discover the heart, soul and language of Spain, the Basque Country and San Sebastián.

JUNIOR SUMMER COURSE 2018: ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES

In addition to our fixed Activities Program, our Junior Summer Course students can also add other activities. These normally take place on TUESDAY and THURSDAY AFTERNOONS so as not to conflict with other activities.

SURF:The course is held on Tuesday and Thursday with a maximum of 6 students per instructor. Surfboard and wetsuit hire are included in the price and the course takes place at Zurriola Beach (the surf beach in San Sebastián).PRICE: 68€ per week

Stand up paddle:The stand up paddle course takes place in La Concha bay, and is

held on Tuesday and Thursday. The course price includes all the necessary equipment.PRICE: 48€ per week

KAYAK:The kayak course takes place in La Concha Bay, twice a week, and is given by a qualified instructor. The course price includes all necessary equipment hire and access to the club amenities.PRICE: 48€ per week

A panoramic tour of

the beautiful city of

San Sebastian –

you do not want to

miss it!

We will visit the fisherman

town Hondarribia and then

continue to a pretty seaside

town in the French Basque

Country. Enjoy a wonderful

walk & visit a local market to

buy homemade bread, sweets,

fruits & much more!

Saturday 16/06: Bilbao & The Guggenheim Museum

We will visit the

famous flysch of

Zumaia and spend the

afternoon in this

beautiful Basque

beach town.

Friday 15/06: Cinema

Let’s go to the cinema &

watch a new release movie

(in Spanish, of course!).

We will visit Bilbao

to see its charming

buildings, football

stadium & the

Guggenheim

museum

Spend the afternoon exploring

the aquarium. There’s plenty of

time to see all the sea

creatures & you can even find

Nemo!

A short but nice hike

along the Basque Coast.

We will start at Orio and

finish at the famous surf

beach in Zarautz.

Friday 22/06: Planetarium & Science Museum

We will go to Gernika and visit

its famous El Museo de La

Paz to learn about peace and

reconciliation. Then we will

continue our journey to San

Juan de Gaztelugatxe.

Explore & discover San

Sebastian with a fun group

activity! Who will win the

Spend the afternoon at the

beach playing sports &

enjoying a small picnic lunch.
