“Mount Mary provides opportunities to fuel student creativity by helping us explore our areas of study in new ways.”
Kat Reynoso ’14 Biology and Health Sciences Double Major
As a Mount Mary graduate, you will possess
demonstrated creative leadership attributes that employers have identified as vital for Milwaukee and
Wisconsin’s economy:
AgilityExperimentation
ImaginationOpen-Mindedness
Complexity
The learning approach itself is creative here. This is the only place where I’ve actually had the opportunity in the classroom to get together with other groups of students to ask what they think about something, so we can learn a little bit differently by creating the learning ourselves, rather than just by looking at something that’s already established. It helps us get hands-on experience before graduating.

Creativity is part of who we are at Mount Mary. A big part.
Students, faculty and staff form a close-knit community where everyone is eager to collaborate and innovate by taking risks with new ideas, working together through complexities, finding solutions instead of solving problems and keeping an open mind about what’s to come in the future. This cooperative and inventive environment will help you strengthen your critical thinking and leadership skills and position you as a leader at the forefront of a competitive marketplace.
Mount Mary CreatesLeaders
You will leave Mount Mary with more than just a powerful degree. You’ll also have the confidence and skillset to be a force of change within your community—and beyond. With classes like the Leadership for Social Justice Seminar, taken by all first-year students, you will develop the communication and critical-thinking skills necessary to create a better, more compelling life for yourself so you can live out your education in active, meaningful ways.

I am able to be that leader that I have always wanted to be in the classroom, athletically and within the groups that I am involved with.

In today’s employment environment, people are so focused on building a skillset that oftentimes building a foundation of who you are and what you stand for is put to the wayside. Mount Mary helped to develop both of these important parts of who I am.

The Caroline Scholars program shaped my entire college experience. I was first drawn to it because of the amazing opportunity of full tuition and room and board, but what I gained went far beyond that: a deep understanding of social justice, community involvement and a marvelous support system of women at various stages in their college careers who helped me transition from a timid freshman into an involved sophomore.
