The first text shown in the film Juno is company that distributes the film; Fox Searchlight Pictures.

The font suits the genre because it looks like a person has just written it on a piece of paper. The film is a coming of age film so this suits it because it’s not too serious. The audience will be attracted to this because they are in school themselves. It is unique.

The text moves ever so slightly side to side.

The music played throughout the opening sequence is “All I want is you” by Gary Polisar. This music reflects the culture of the setting of the play.

This appears first because this is the most important information because this is the company that distributed the film.

This is the second piece of text that is shown. It says the two production companies that produced the film.

The font is the same style however it is in a different form because there is two companies so there is a line in between them.

This is shown second because it’s the second most important piece of information. It’s more important than all the actors and directors

Again, the text moves side to side and this could be so it grabs the attention of the audience.

This is the third piece of information that is shown on screen. It says it is ‘A Jason Reitman film”. Jason Reitman is the director of the film and this is shown third because he is a very famous director who has directed many famous films. They would want to show off the fact that he has directed the film which is why they mention him early on.

The font is again the same however this time the letters come on to the screen in a random order and then mix to form the words. This is cleverly used to avoid tedium and add effect.

The next piece of text shown is the name of the main actor, Ellen Page. She is shown first because she is the main character of the film and because she is already a well known actress. Like the director, they are trying to show off that this actress is in the film which is why she is the first actor to be shown, however she is not as important as any of the production companies so isn’t shown before them.

Her face is shown next to the writing so we know that she is her.
