Thank you to Mrs Bentley who stepped into the Maths position this term while Ms Cave has been on leave. Thank you also to Mr Boreland who has stepped into the Secondary Deputy role whilst Mr Teasdale was on leave. As a result of that move Ms Keding took on more responsibility such as organising the carnivals. That meant that Ms Clancy and Mrs Mackenzie stepped into some of Ms Kedings role. I know this all sounds confusing but it demonstrates the ripple effect that is caused in a school when people take leave. Because we have access to very special relief teachers, we are able to backfill with very little disruption to the work of the students. I thank students and parents for their patience and understanding during the past 2 terms. Students return to school on TUESDAY 9 OCTOBER after their 2 week break. Enjoy the holidays and stay safe. NCVISSA INTERSCHOOL ATHLETICS Last Friday 38 KDHS Primary students boarded the bus for Northampton to compete in the NCVISSA Athletics Carnival. The day began with the jumps and throws, where the Kalbarri team held their own with a number of students re-entering the bays with place ribbons. Next were the hotly contested age races which saw the winners evenly spread across the eight competing schools. After lunch our students participated in the team games and finished the day with relays and the 800 metre race for Year 6s. We were very proud of all of our students for putting a huge effort into all of the events and for having great team spirit all day. We ended up coming third behind St. Marys and Northampton DHS. Well done to all of the students who represented our school last Friday .
