Kingscote & Brownlow p.14-19The Island’s capital is a bright, bustling town of about 1,800 people and is situated on the shores of Nepean Bay, with panoramic views of a boatstudded harbour. A sea-water aquarium is located at the wharf, magical penguin tours are held nightly and the thrilling pelican feeding each afternoon. Brownlow is a small beach side town only a short drive from Kingscote. Relax by the beach or have a game of golf at the nearby golf course.

Vivonne Bay p. 22-23Vivonne Bay, proclaimed as ‘Australia’s Best Beach’ after extensive research by Sydney University, is a long, curved, sandy beach. It is a superb site for picnics, beachcombing, surfi ng and fi shing and is home to Kangaroo Island’s crayfi shing fl eet.

Penneshaw p.20-22Situated on the northeast coast of the Island, Penneshaw is an attractive welcome for visitors arriving on the SeaLink ferries. The Hog Bay Jetty is famous as a fi shing spot and Penneshaw is home to a colony of Little Penguins with tours conducted each evening.

Island Beach p.13-14Island Beach is the quintessential beach holiday location with its stunning, tranquil waters, white sandy beach and rows of spectacular homes. It is well known for local wildlife such as wallabies, goannas and possums and is a famous fi shing spot for King George Whiting.

Eastern Kangaroo Island p.10Climb the 512 steps at Prospect Hill and experience the rewarding view which includes American River, Pelican Lagoon and the Southern Ocean as well as Pennington Bay. See Cape Willoughby Lighthouse and the spectacular surrounding cliffs.

American River p.6-8American River is nestled on the hillside in native bushland where Tammar Wallabies and birdlife abound. Relax with some fresh oysters while enjoying the views over Eastern Cove.

Emu Bay p.11-12Emu Bay is one of the most popular spots on the Island for holiday makers. With a beautiful, long, white 4km sandy beach with vehicle access as well as safe, clear water for swimming and water activities. Anglers can try their luck from the jetty or launch their boats from the boat ramp.

Baudin Beach p.8A picturesque hamlet only 7 minutes from Penneshaw. Baudin Beach provides a quiet holiday location with a beach, small jetty and beautiful panoramic views over the bay towards American River.

for children under 3 is generally free

of charge but some properties may

‘double’ - two people sharing a

double bed (queen or king beds at

some properties) or ‘twin’, consisting

of reservation. ‘Extra adult’ prices are

based on sharing with two other adults

adult wish to have their own room they

Hire Cars:If you are hiring a car on the mainland

and plan to take this to Kangaroo

Island, ensure you check out the

insurance conditions with the hire car

company. Alternatively, hire cars are

available to be picked-up once you

arrive on Kangaroo Island.

Booking and Final Payments:To make a booking a deposit of $50 per

person is required. Final payments must

reach The SeaLink Travel Group no later

than 30 days prior to departure. For

bookings made online within 30 days

of travel date, full payment should be

received at the time of booking.

Cancellation:Cancellation of a booking, or part

thereof will incur the following fees:

• More than 30 days before departure -

$50 per person

• Between 7 & 30 days before

departure - $50 per person or 50% of

total cost whichever is greater

• Less than 7 days before departure -

$50 per person or 80% of total cost

whichever is greater

• Within 24 hours of departure - 100%

of total cost

No refunds will be made for services not

availed once travel has commenced.

All refund claims must be made in

writing. Please note operators reserve

the right to charge cancellation fees in

addition to the above.

Amendment FeesDue to the complexity, staff time and

communication costs of the booking

process, a charge of $22 (incl GST) may

apply to each modifi cation made after

the original booking.

Travel Insurance:Holiday plans can be disrupted and

cancellation fees can be costly. Travel

insurance is inexpensive and highly

recommended.

Conditions of Ferry Passage:1. Check-in time for all departures

is to be a minimum of 30 minutes

prior to departure. Due to loading

requirements, The SeaLink Travel

Group reserves the right to refuse

boarding for both passengers and

vehicles that check-in after this time.

2. Drivers only permitted on the vehicle

deck.

3. Drivers must accept direction by

SeaLink Travel Group crew at all times

during loading and unloading.

4. Smoking is prohibited on the vessel

at all times.

5. Travel may only be permitted for a

person or persons whose name(s)

appear on the SeaLink Travel Group

manifests. Travel arrangements

may only be transferred to another

person(s) with the knowledge and

authority of the Company and the

person who made the booking.

6. SeaLink Travel Group reserves the

right to refuse to carry any person

or cargo aboard any Company

vessel or vehicle where the Company

deems the person or cargo to be

undesirable, unsuitable or dangerous.

7. Flammable liquids in portable

containers will not be carried (eg.

boat tanks, jerry cans, paints &

thinners) unless arrangements

have been made prior as loading

may be required on a fl ammable /

dangerous goods departure.

8. If you are travelling on a ‘Spirit of

Kangaroo Island’ service you may be

travelling with freight, which could

include livestock or fuel. For more

information, please enquire with your

consultant.

Conditions of Travel and Booking:1. In these conditions “the Company”

means SeaLink Travel Group, its

servants and agents and “the

passenger” means the passenger

booked to travel. Travel must be

completed within 12 months of

payment. These conditions shall

be governed by and construed in

accordance with the laws of the

Commonwealth of Australia and any

Australian State.

2. The Company reserves the right to

cancel, vary this service in any way,

or substitute any ferry or other means

of transport without incurring any

liability.

3. Fares, times, schedules and routes

are subject to alteration, without

prior notice, at the discretion of the

Company.

4. The Company shall not be liable for

any loss or damage which may arise

in the event of cancellation of this

service or the abandonment of the

service during the course thereof

(should the Company or any of its

servants or agents decide that such

abandonment is necessary) or of

any deviation or delay in any service

arising from any cause whatsoever. In

any such event the Company will not

be liable in any way for consequential

damage including, but not limited

to, the cost of accommodation or

for any alternative means of travel

which may arise and any additional

expense so arising shall be the

liability of the passenger.

5. The Company accepts no

responsibility for loss of, or damage

to, any vehicle being carried for

the passenger, or luggage, or for

consequential damages arising

there-from whether sustained during

off-loading or transportation, and

whether arising from negligence,

malfunction of the vessel or other

cause, except to the extent that the

exclusion of such liability is prohibited

by law.

6. The Company accepts no

responsibility for any injury and/

or death of a passenger travelling

on this service whether caused by

negligence, malfunction to the vessel

or other cause except to the extent

7. Kangaroo Island is a Ligurian Bee

Sanctuary. Importing honey, pollen

or other bee products is prohibited. A

fi ne of up to $10,000 may apply.

8. Biosecurity on Kangaroo Island -

diseases. Do not bring any bee or
