Warning:For design reasons the guide rail of the ladder must be reinforced if, at the end of the ladder run,the guide-rail rises more than 380 mm above the last mounting bracket. Projections of more than380 mm without extra reinforcement are not permitted. The SLL guide rail reinforcementmade of galvanized steel/stainless steel 50 mm x 30 mm x 3 mm is bolted onto the guide rail fromthe back at a distance of 560 mm and must extend down over at least two mounting brackets.

RecessTo insert and take out the fall arrester. As thefall protection does not have any protectionfunction within the recess, there must be andend stop below above the 2. notch above therecess. The end stop must be orderedseparately.

The recess may only be provided at thebeginning of the climbway. If the fallarrester is removed along the climbway,use of a recess is absolutely prohibited. Inthis case the exit section must be used.

Exceptions:Recesses my only be used at the start of afurther climbway at height when platformswith a banister are provided.

At the time of ordering the part of theladder with recesses must be marked withan "A" or the notice "with recess".
