INTRO DUCTION

The Karate1-Premier League is the most important league event in the world of Karate.

It comprises of a number of the most prominent Karate competitions and endeavours to

bring together the best Karate athletes in the world in an open championships of

unprecedented scale and quality.

Initiated in 2011, the 2017 edition is formed by five events being held in the cities of

Paris, Rotterdam, Dubai, Rabat and Leipzig, thus stating Karate’s impact all around the

world and its global scale. The city of DUBAI hosts a Karate 1-Premier League event for

the second time.

At the end of the season, the champions of each category are presented with the

“Grand Winners” award. In order to be eligible to receive the “Grand Winners” award,

competitors have to participate in at least 3 events in 2 continents of the season.

TV PRO DUCTION:

All the events of the 2017 Karate 1 – Premier League will present TV production of all

the final bouts of the competition. The final day of the tournament will be broadcast to a

worldwide viewing audience through a high quality TV production which will be made

available to TV networks around the world.

The bronze medals & final bouts of the event will also be streamed live through TV

WKF Channel platforms. The streaming the medals (bronze medals & finals) features

live action in high definition quality for fans around the world that do not have access to

the TV broadcast.

EVENT EQUIPMENT:

The Karate 1-Premier League complies with the highest level of presentation. In order

to guarantee the correct delivery of the event, and to ensure the suitable quality of the

tournament, exclusively the following brands are WKF Approved for use in the 2017

Karate 1-Premier League Season.

The official registration session will take place on Thursday 30th

March from 11.00 a.m.

to 20.00 p.m. At the Head Quarter Hotel (Town Square Area).

If changes are required during the official registration session because of incorrect or

missing registration data, a fee of € 20 is charged for each change.

At registration, accreditation cards will be issued with the participants ’ main data, a

photograph and information about registered categories. The accreditation card must be worn at all times during the event.

Only members of national federations recognized by WKF are admitted to participate, as per Premier League Organizing Rules 2017. Please note that all participants have to show their passports at the registration session. CATEGORI ES

The entry fees are € 45 per individual category entry and € 70 per team category entry.

Can be paid only by cash during the registration session on 30th March 2017 at the HQ Hotel.

WKF ACCREDITED COACHES

According to the Coach License Manual, the minimum level required to take part in the Karate 1 events is the “Accredited Coach” level. To obtain such certification, coaches must attend a compulsory Coach Briefing. Therefore and in order to give the opportunity to the WKF Coaches to get this certification, a Coach Briefing will be held in the Karate1 Premier League Dubai 2017.
