Our Purpose:

K-4 RCOP Goals: • To cultivate, document and assess engaging

and authentic teaching, learning and assessment practices with technology

• To collaborate on research that contributes new understandings and empirical evidence of effective implementation of emerging technologies with elementary students

•Investigate the role of technology in supporting learners’ increased participation and achievement in environments where there are diverse cognitive abilities (including students with intellectual disabilities and students identified as gifted) .•Build and share expertize around the design and implementation of inclusive, innovative ‘learning spaces’ at the Junior High level where technology is leveraged to create flexible pathways to success.

Purpose

We have discovered — painfully and expensively — during the past few decades that using technology without fundamentally changing pedagogy simply fails to achieve the desired impact on learning outcomes.
