Nikki 8161. What is poverty in Israel. Where is your topic taking place? Who is it effected by?My definition for poverty is:When you can not support yourself. If you have no or very little money, clothes food, health care clean water and shelter.

Anyone can be in poverty. It effects the elderly, adults, teenagers, children and even infants. You can loose a job, be in debt or just have no money to begin with. It all leads to poverty.

Nikki 8163. When did the issue begin? Why did it happen/start? When did people start to care?Well... Poverty has always been around. There is no start and there is no end to poverty. There also is no reason why it started. It's always been around.

Nikki 8164. What organizations are available to help? Who are they? What do they do?

Some organizations that I found are:Salvation Army. They are available in 120 countries world wide. They help those in need. Including anyone in poverty. They take them in for a night or longer and feed them and make sure that they are OK.World Vision.World Vision is a company that helps all children in poverty. They get people to sponsor children until they are 18 years old.

Poverty is caused by people who do not have or very little food, clothing, money, health care, shelter ect.

They can not afford the essentials in school like pencils, paper, erasers ect. Most importantly it effects their health. If they are in poverty then they can't eat or go to the doctor and get the medicine which leads to a bad health. Without health you have nothing, right?
