Nikki 8161. What is poverty in Israel. Where is your topic taking place? Who is it effected by?My definition for poverty is:When you can not support yourself. If you have no or very little money, clothes food, health care clean water and shelter.

Page 21: Karen Estanislao & Nikki Shannon

Nikki 8162. Who is involved or effected by? How? (Give examples and details)

Anyone can be in poverty. It effects the elderly, adults, teenagers, children and even infants. You can loose a job, be in debt or just have no money to begin with. It all leads to poverty.

Page 22: Karen Estanislao & Nikki Shannon

Nikki 8163. When did the issue begin? Why did it happen/start? When did people start to care?Well... Poverty has always been around. There is no start and there is no end to poverty. There also is no reason why it started. It's always been around.

Page 23: Karen Estanislao & Nikki Shannon

Nikki 8164. What organizations are available to help? Who are they? What do they do?

Some organizations that I found are:Salvation Army. They are available in 120 countries world wide. They help those in need. Including anyone in poverty. They take them in for a night or longer and feed them and make sure that they are OK.World Vision.World Vision is a company that helps all children in poverty. They get people to sponsor children until they are 18 years old.

Page 24: Karen Estanislao & Nikki Shannon

Nikki 8165. What causes poverty? (Why does your topic exist?)

Poverty is caused by people who do not have or very little food, clothing, money, health care, shelter ect.

Page 25: Karen Estanislao & Nikki Shannon

Nikki 8166. What are the effects of poverty?(What are the consequences, or negative that exists as a result of poverty?) Give lots of details.Poverty effects the children and teenagers education. They can not afford the essentials in school like pencils, paper, erasers ect. Most importantly it effects their health. If they are in poverty then they can't eat or go to the doctor and get the medicine which leads to a bad health. Without health you have nothing, right?

Page 26: Karen Estanislao & Nikki Shannon

Nikki 8167. What can I do? What am I going to do to make a difference/help?(Action)

Well...Awhile ago my dad and I sponsored a child. He is 11 years old and is only in grade 4. He will be 12 on May 12. His name is Montser Mohamad Qawareeq.
