SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES
Certifications• ISO 14001 - Environmental Management Systems Certification• ISO 50001 - Energy Management System• LEED – Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (USA)
Energy Consumption• Redesigned dipping lines with more efficient heaters to reduce energy consumption by 25%• Passive cooling incorporated as a key architectural element to lower the heat load on the building,
reducing cooling / air conditioning requirements• Recycled heat from tumble dryers are channeled back to stability ovens for real time stability studies• Next phase of improvement involves incorporating solar panels over the roof of the building to reduce
our reliance of power from the grid
Water• Consumption of potable water is significantly reduced by the collection of rainwater and condensate
water from cooling process to be used for flushing toilets and cleaning purposes• No potable water is used for landscape irrigation which is taken care of by the reuse of water recycled
from treated wastewater• We are also exploring the recycling of treated wastewater for in our cooling towers
Location• Our factory is surrounded by rubber plantations within the planned rubber city by the Thai government
thereby reducing carbon footprint from long distance transportation of raw materials
