2013 – 2015 RESEARCH PROGRAM MANAGER, Institute of Global Health and Infectious Diseases (IGHID),

Collaboratory of AIDS Researchers for Eradication (CARE), The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC.

Managed a large NIH-funded Collaboratory compromised of 20+ scientists from 10+ universities in the United States and Europe ($USD 6.4 million/year) whose main objective was to pursue a concerted effort to eradicate HIV infection by bringing a team of experts together in discovery and development to create a cure for AIDS. The Administrative Core was a key component for the success of the Collaboratory by overseeing the various activities of the research program and providing infrastructure and coordination between the various scientific groups and the scientific cores.

Designed and managed an international HIV cure research training curriculum (CUREiculum) with partner organizations such as DARE, defeatHIV, Project Inform, and AVAC.

Built networks between the HIV+ community and the scientists working on HIV cure-related research, convening meetings of community advisory boards, disseminating information, and providing community feedback to the scientists on their research.

2012 – 2013 CLINICAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE III, U.S. Military HIV Research Program (MHRP)/Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. (HJF), Bethesda, MD.

Managed site and cohort development program in preparation for future prime-boost HIV vaccine trials in Mozambique, transitioned project to U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. National Institutes of Health Division of AIDS funding streams, developed and designed HIV incidence research in Mozambique, prepared manuscripts for Mozambique scientific journal articles, assisted in the preparation of the U.S. Military HIV Research Program Clinical Trials Unit application for the U.S. NIH DAIDS Clinical Research Sites re-competition, developed standard operating procedures for MHRP Clinical Operations Office.
