Every year, thousands of animals from every country, every year, are killed illegally.

Animals are killed for Ivory, Medicine,

Religious Reasons,

Thousands of Tigers have been killed because they are seen as Threats.

How am I a threat?

India’s Population of tigers has Drastically decreased

From an estimated population of 100,000 in 1900,

To only 4,000 in 1990

The amount of elephants in Africa has almost

completely vanished.

People poaching for their ivory tusks has cut their population in half.

The South African Rhinoceros is poached for its horn.

Mainly because they are sold for $3400 per pound in China

In China, Rhino horns are a traditional medicine.

There is a similar problem with sharks

Hooked sharks are caught on a boat, then get their fins sliced off

Then thrown back into the ocean, unable to swim

This is because shark fins are believed to prevent cancer.

Hyenas are killed by people

because they are believed to kill their land animals.
