Kason Plott is from a racing family. For as long as he can remember it’s what they do on weekends…they load the race cars, gather their uniforms and helmets and
head out to the race track. The younger brother of Plott Boyz Motorsports has looked up to his older brother Kyle since the early days of racing quarter midgets in
Cummings, Georgia. That is where the journey began for the polite young man who understands the sacrifices his family has made for him to live his dream.
“I began racing quarter midgets when I was four and it just built from there, “ said Kason.” “I tried sports and was pretty good, but nothing gave me the adrenaline
rush that racing has over the last 12 years, so I continue to chase my dream.”
Success on the race track has happened often for Kason with over 250 career wins and multiple championships throughout his journey. He graduated from quarter
midgets at seven and started racing bandoleros, then Legends cars and onto the full bodied stock cars in 2014. In 2015, the focused teen raced in the NASCAR
Whelen All-American Series and was named South Carolina Rookie of the Year. In the final race of his rookie season in Late Model Stock Cars he guided his
family owned machine to victory lane at the Greenville-Pickens Speedway near Greenville, SC. “What a great feeling to win my first NASCAR race,” added the
2016 high school graduate. “The weekly competition at Greenville-Pickens motivates me to succeed and that night I won the pole and led all the laps. It gives me
confidence to know that I can be successful with the high caliber of racers that compete in NASCAR.”
At every race you will see his parents, Alan and Donna, by his side for whatever he needs. Their dedication to the Plott Boyz is a huge part of the success of Kason
and he understands their role in his success. “Having the support of my parents and my family is critical for me. They are there for me no matter what the
circumstance. I work hard to be the best I can be because my parents do everything they can for me and my brother. Their dreams are our dreams.”
Kason Plott is a kind soul with huge talent. When you look into his eyes you see an intense passion for racing that will lead him to victory lane in any endeavor.
Like his younger brother Kason, Kyle Plott has never
known anything other then spending the weekends as a
family at a race track. Quarter midgets to bandoleros to
Legends cars to stock cars and in 2016 a debut in the
ARCA Racing Series, Kyle Plott has always been a
winner. Plott has won in everything he has ever sat in
but his favorite memory goes back to 2011, when at 15
he shocked the entire racing community winning the US
Legends “Big Money” race at the Charlotte Motor
Speedway against a field of racers that defies
comprehension. Racing against the likes of current
NASCAR racer David Ragan, rising NASCAR racer
Daniel Hemric and a who’s who of competitors Plott
rallied from a spin that left him in 20th to win the $25,000
first prize.
“That’s definitely a race I will always remember,” said
Kyle.” “When the white flag flew and I knew I had one
lap to go I kept thinking, this is crazy I am going to win
the Daytona 500 of Legends cars against a who’s who
and $25,000. To this day when the going gets tough I
just think back to that night and I feel like I can win.”
Kyle is not your average racer…when asked who Kyle
is, he gave quite the powerful answer. “I am one that
likes to have fun and make the best of everything. If I
am running late to driver introductions I will stop to give
an autograph…I am the first one at the shop and the
last to leave, when I get our of the race car at the track I
jump in and help…and if someone breaks down on the
side of the road they know who they can call at
anytime.” His family gives him the confidence to pursue
his dream and will give everything he has to get there.
He wants the world to look at him as that country kid
with the little twang that gave it all he had…the one that
showed up and beat the best of them on ability. Kyle
has shown that his dedication to succeed goes beyond
the norm. He cleans the race car, loads it for the next
race and drives the hauler all night if he has to…Kyle
Plott is a throwback to the days when the one who
works the hardest wins…and no one works harder.

For 34 years Alan and Donna Plott have been selling Christmas Trees in Marietta, Georgia under the name Alan’s Christmas Trees.
As the boys grew older they too became a part of the tradition. This year while Kyle was racing at the Snowball Derby, younger
brother Kason was left to man the post. (Pictured are Kyle and Kason with the hood from Kyle’s car at the Snowball Derby)
“This means a great deal to us,” said Alan Plott. “Each year it grows and this year to have Kason stay home and do such a
remarkable job shows the strength we have as a family. It’s a feel good thing for us but also helps with our Plott Boyz Motorsports.
Plott Boyz Motorsports is truly the glue that bonds this family together. Join in our yearly racing celebration in 2017 and beyond.
Kason Plott closed the regular
season at Greenville-Pickens
Speedway in Easley, South Carolina
in the best way, as he scored the
Late Model Stock victory on
Saturday evening September 16,
2016.
The Marietta, Georgia driver held off
17-year-old Dylan Hall for the win,
but second place was enough for
Hall to become the youngest Late
Model Track Champion in track
history.
Plott and Hall brought the field to the
green flag for the 50-lap feature, with
Plott jumping to the lead from the
pole.
Trey Gibson moved to third early,
while Anthony Anders charged
through the field from the sixth
starting position. Anders would
close on Gibson on lap 37, and two
laps later, would take the position.
Up front, Plott went unchallenged for
the lead, and he drove away to score
the victory. Hall finished in second,
with Anders third, Gibson fourth and
Randy Porter fifth.
Kyle Plott, of Marietta, Ga., led the final 33 laps on his way to
winning the Legends Big Money 100 and taking home the top prize
of $25,000 on Tuesday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Plott started ninth in the Legends Big Money 100 A-Main and took
over the lead on Lap 67 to win the most prestigious Legend Car
event of the year and one of the largest in all of grassroots racing.
“I knew if I got out front I could hold them off,” said Plott. “We were
real good this morning and everything just clicked today. It was a
good race. Thanks to Charlotte for putting on these great events.”
Plott, who regularly races in the Pro division in the Summer
Shootout Series with his brother Kason, who races in the Young
Lions division, knew exactly what he would do with the $25,000
purse he would receive for winning the Legends Big Money 100.
“We’ll put it back into racing and go do this some more,” he said.
Steven Cantrell, of Charlotte, N.C., led the field to the green flag in
the 100-lap feature event but Doug Stevens, of Griffin, Ga., quickly
stole the lead away as he drove to the inside to pass the pole-sitter
and lead the third lap. Stevens would pace the field until a caution
brought the field back together, allowing Cantrell to catch back up
and retake the lead on lap 42. Cantrell remained in front as the field
took the mandatory caution flag on Lap 50 to pit and work on their
cars during a 10-minute break.
Cantrell started where he left off before the break, in front of the
field, until Tyler Green, of China Grove, N.C., made an inside move
on the backstretch to take over the lead on Lap 60.
Plott made his way into the third position as he and NASCAR Sprint
Cup Series star David Ragan, of Unadilla, Ga., caught up to Green,
making it three wide on Lap 67. Plott would come away with the led
as Ragan took over second, shifting Green back to third. Once Plott
was out front, Ragan tried to catch him, but was unsuccessful as
Plott grabbed the win.

Racers are Role Models
B2B and B2C Introductions
Twenty one years ago the Plott Family lost
an infant son, Spencer, while the boy’s
Mom Donna, was pregnant with Kyle…that
tragic loss is what motivates the Plott Boyz
to be the best they can be both on and off
the racetrack. Each year Alan, Donna, Kyle
and Kason celebrate Spencer’s memory on
November 5th along with friends and family.
Over the course of time you will meet a number of racers that have a unique story. The Plott
Boys story is one that displays family values and a passion that just might be unequalled in
motorsports. They have worked hard to get to the level they are at and will continue to
produce strong results both on and off the race track. With their parents Alan and Donna by
their side both of these role models take the extra time to make sure every detail has been
taken care of prior to arriving at the race track. Their work ethic has been a labor of love.
When you open up the dictionary and look under the word determination you just might find
a photograph of Kason and Kyle Plott…or as they are known, Plott Boyz Motorsports.
