Quick® MAD® 5500 FS We introduce the brandnew Quick® MAD® 5500 free spool reel in Realtree® AP™ camouflage design, which is a great addition to the extremely popular big pit MAD® 7000 FS. Thanks to the use of duraluminium we have achieved designing a free spool reel that is very compact, ultralight weight, and has minimum tolerances. Still it offers superb free spool capabilities and an unmatched fighting drag. The patented EOS system provides a superb line lay under all conditions and the drag as well as the Free Spool function is micro adjustable. We have used the latest in lamination technoligies that has resulted in a fantastic sharp 3D appearance of the most popular Realtree® AP™ camouflage pattern.

Quick® MAD® 7000 FS This extraordinary free spool reel is the fine result of combining the characteristics of the legendary top brand Quick® and the young innovative carp brand MAD®! D.A.M. was the first ever that introduced a fishing tackle product with camou colour, which makes us a pioneer on this level also! In the beginning of the 1990’s DAM introduced the Quick® Camou reel. Considering this, the Quick® MAD® 7000 FS is the perfect sequel on the Camou success story! Quick® MAD® FSXBuilt to last & built to cast – these are the two major principles of our Quick® MAD® FSX!

With a body made of high grade feather weight aluminium, an extra wide graphite rotor and a superior long worm shaft stroke, this reel is perfectly designed for long distance casting.

Moreover the reel is equipped with a new and extremely effective system that reliably prevents the fishing line from turning underneath the spool.

The Quick® MAD® FSX is “The Reel” for carp freaks. As a totally new and unique innovation, the Free Spool function is integrated in the spool itself, can be preset in 11 rest positions and can be activated / deactivated by a half turn of the drag knob.

The main drag force can also be pre-selected and the whole spool can be changed within seconds by a simple push button system and with a line capacity of 500 m / 0,35 mm any spot can easily be reached.

While going through a D.A.M. catalogue of the late 1990’s we suddenly found it: New DimensionTM! reTro iS FAShion!Many continental carp anglers start following the trend of wanting to go back to fishing with lighter carp rods that are equipped with a full cork handle.

Therefore we have developed two fantastic carp rods with an ultra light blank and super slim cork handle. Moreover, we have equipped the Oldskool rods with special US-designed ALPS lightweight aluminium reel seats.

The Oldskool rods are available in two carefully selected test curve ranges: a light one that has a test curve of in between 2 and 2,5 lbs, and a heavier version that lies in between 2,5 to 2 lbs.

As nowadays all expensive handbuilt English rods, we have equipped the lighter version with one more guide on the handle part that helps the guideing the line extremely smooth so that the entire parabolic action of the rod can be used.

How to improve something that already is near to perfect? This question we asked ourselves when starting to develop a brand new successor for our most popular MAD® rod series D-FENDER.

This name has established itself in the market and has become wellknown as a premium carp rod for a fair price.

The most important improvements we achieved, was reducing the blank diameter significantly and giving it an extremely fast action for rods in this price range. Next to that we gave it an even more exclusive appearance with a moulded line clip, woven carbon reel seat spacer and smart looking japanese shrink wrapping around the handle. Also the artwork of the rods has been kept to the absolute minimum, with the small D-FENDER2 logo positioned on the side of the rear grip part!

They have been manaufactured out of robust TC 24 D carbon and equipped with oversized slim inlay SIC-guides that are well suitable for braided lines.

The D-FENDER2 rods are all light and thin carp rods with enough backbone to fight any size carp and for extreme distance casting.

D-FenDer2 SPeciAliST Duo-TiPThis could be one of the most versatile multi purpose rods you have ever seen or fished with. The finish of this 12” rod is similar to our very popular specialist rod, but is equipped with 2 different tip sections. One section makes it a float/ surface rod, which is great for carp, tench, and roach fishing. The second tip section makes it a quiver/ feeder rod, which is perfect for bottom presentations. lAnDing neT This is a typical MAD® product! Years of experience, close contact with fellow carp cracks, and the outstanding engineering background of D.A.M. result in products that make the life of us carp anglers much easier.

The Medusa landing net has a built-in light function with 4 long life LEDs in its stable ABS-graphite head with soft touch rubber paint surface! This way you can always precisely illuminate the area just in front of the net – even when you forgot to put on the head lamp! The big challenge was to make the spreader block waterproof. Even though this will never be the case in practice, we have tested the head under water for periods that lasted over two hours!

The ultra light carbon handle part is also divided into two parts of 90 cm like our existing landing nets and has the same great finish as the popular Medusa rods.

line Aligner rigThe good old Line Aligner rig offers you the perfect “turning” of the hook to ensure optimal penetration in the carp’s hard lower lip. This turning is achieved by the small piece of shrink tube where the braided is stuck through on the side of the hook point.

AMBuSh D-rigThis pop-up rig is tied using the Longshank hook and our MAD® Ambush fluorocarbon that is nearly invisible under water. With it’s approximately 13 cm length it is a high tactics rig that gives the carp little room to move or blow the boilie out. The pop-up is tied to the small rig ring easily with some dental floss. The loop with which the rig is tied to the swivel makes sure the hook can turn freely to ensure optimal penetration!

All TAcTiX rigThis rig is suitable for any possible water and gives you the opportunity to choose if you want to use a swivel or the MAD® Quick® Swap system. The swivels are namely offered separately in the package and the rigs are equipped with a secure loop. A great rig for particle fishing!

whiTy Pool rigAccording to many people this is the ultimate rig for fishing with pop-ups! Therefore it couldn’t obviously be missing from our program. The extremely bended shrink tube positions the pop-up perfectly above the bottom. The extra piece of braided line that comes out of the shrink tube is for putting on a split shot (so not directly on the hooklink!) We have to “overload” this – which means using a heavy split shot so that the hook will turn downwards perfectly when the carp takes it and stretches the hooklink. Fish on!

AnTi-BlowouT rigThis rig is one of the favourites of the MAD® carp team because of the numerous possibilities it offers. The rig is made using MystiX subtle hooklink material and the Gripper hook and is fantastic for waters where the clever carp tend to blow out the baits over and over again. The special way with which the hair is attached to the shank of the hook with a movable 2 mm piece of MAD® Rig Tube Rig Tube, makes the hook always leave the carp’s mouth behind the boilie. This makes it almost impossible for the carp to blow the bait out with hooking himself!

coMBi rigThe MAD® Combi Rig is a killer on high pressured waters. Thanks to using the superb IncogniX coated hooklink, we have been able to combine stiff and subtle material without having an irritating knot or ring in between. The combi-rig offers you a tactical advantage on all waters and makes you fishing on the edge! Also available as a pop-up version!

leADShoT rigHere a lead shot is clamped onto a short piece of braided line positioned on the outside of the hook bend. This extra weight makes the hook stay low in the mouth of the carp. This way the hook will be almost always fixed in the lower lip. Slightly bent shrink tube over the hook helps again for instant hooking.

longShAnk hookLike the name already suggests this hook has an extra long shank. The smooth straight point and the slightly inwards bent eye give the hook optimal penetration features. This topper is great for pop-up fishing with D-rigs and outstanding for fishing with a so called “Snowman”!

BAckBone hookThe Backbone is a super strong hook made of reinforced steel that makes it extremely well suitable for fishing in waters with lots of obstacles. It resists high pressure during tough fights so that it won’t bend or break! rAZor hook BArBleSS For the carp anglers among us that like to fish barbless (or are obliged to do so) the MAD® Razor is also available as a barbless version.

rAZor hookThe MAD® Razor is a great allrounder that is suitable for all waters. It’s special design make it turn easily downwards in the carp’s mouth and the straight razor sharp point will pene-trate immediately. This hook is super for tying Line Aligner rigs and rigs with extremely long hairs. In smaller sizes the Razor is fantastic for particles!

MAD® guArDiAn MeSh Guardian Mesh is an incredible innovative product that will open up numerous new fishing possibilities for you! The principle is not new and inspired by both saltwater and sturgeon fishing. While fishing for white sturgeon, the Canadians use women stockings and fill them up with salmon eggs to create attractive hookbait balls. This enables them to fish the best sturgeon bait that unfortunately is not hookable - directly on the hook. Based on this, we developed Guardian Mesh which is no PVA but a very fine mono mesh, and it will therefore not dissolve under water.

Our goal was to develop a complete baits program based on years of experience in bait production on the one side and great experience in the carp’s behaviour on the other side. The key was to carefully select and combine the ingredients into a perfectly balanced mix.

Important is, that the base mix of every boilie flavour in the program is created from scratch and made to fulfil its purpose: Catching big cautious fish at any place at any time.

We wanted to avoid having one base mix all over with only different flavours. The goal was to create 6 boilie types that each has its own unique characteristics. The intensive testing period proved that we have exceeded all expectations!

inSoMniA SPeciAliST hAngerSFinally we have specialist hangers in the MAD® program! The series consists of 2 aircraft aluminium body versions in a fat and slim design, and an additional Feather Light slim body version that is made from rock hard ABS material.

All hangers are equipped with a fantastic line clip that serves all types of fishing thanks to its unique double feature design. For normal, distance, or tight line fishing, use it as a “running” hanger where the top ball clip is resting on the line. For slack line fishing or when facing windy conditions, clip the line in the lower “gripper” part. The Graphite-Nylon material of the line clip is very line-friendly and the tightness of the clip can be adjusted by moving the rubber band up and down.

MAD® cAT klongThe MAD® CAT Black Klong is a high quality Klong that produces a quick and powerful sound! The ergonomically designed handle part and the simple handling, make it perfectly suitable for every kind of catfish angler.

MAD® cAT ghoST klong rigThe MAD® CAT Ghost Klong rig is a complete novelty for this kind of fishing! This very effective system is developed by one of our local test anglers – and together with him we even improved it further. This rig is the secret weapon when the catfish are lazy, not hungry, or simply because they are trained not to take the regular klong system anymore to avoid being caught. The rig is 100 cm long and consists of 0,90 mm high abrasion resistant fluorocarbon with a breaking strength of 45 kg! In comparison with conventional rig material it is practically not visible for the fish! On the upper single hook you rig some fat worms. Approximately 2 cm underneath the hook a double rattle is placed that gives the system acoustic attraction. Then, two octopus skirts are rigged towards each other on an inline lead, leaving the “arms” free to pulse in the water. Finally, a treble is placed on the end of the rig to finish it off. So why does it catch more fish?
