Entry Slips Entry slips MUST be printed and attached firmly to all entries before they are dropped off. Failure to
do so will mean the entry will not be eligible for judging Entry slips can be found under the print tab on your online Show account
Collection ALL ENTRIES in the general classes must be collected
between 10am – 12pm on Sunday 21st July
Tips for entering online
1) Go to the Katherine Show webpage – www.katherineshow.org.au
2) For new users, create an account from ‘My Account’ (click box located at the top right of the webpage for computers and at the bottom of the drop-down menu on phones) For existing users, log in from ‘My Account’.
3) To enter for multiple people, you will need to add each person as a family member which is accessible from Account Management. The ‘Family Members’ are located to the bottom left-hand side under your account details on computers and straight under your account details on phones.
4) Once all family members are added, you can start putting entries in your cart. *Please note: if you want reduced rates, make sure you put an advantage pass (found under the ‘Admission’ tab) in your cart before you start nominating entries* To nominate an entry, go to the ‘Entries’ tab and a menu should load.
• Select the name of the person you are entering for in the first box.
• Select what section you wish to enter in the second box. This will reduce the next selection to relevant divisions.
• Select the division you wish to enter (junior, novice, etc.) in the third box. This will reduce the next selection to only relevant classes.
• Select the specific class you wish to enter in the fourth box.
5) After all the details are in and are correct, click ‘Add to Cart’. This will put your entry in your cart to purchase at your leisure. From there, you can change all the details and repeat step 4 until you have all your entries in your cart. You can check your entries in your cart quickly as they are listed below the entry form.
6) When you have all your entries in your cart, click the ‘View Cart’ button to review your purchases and checkout your items.
7) Once purchased, entry slips can be found under the ‘Print’ tab. Make sure you print out all the entry slips you purchase. Half of each entry slip is for you to keep. The other half is to be attached on your entry. It is essential you firmly attach the other half of the entry slip to your entry. Without it, the entry will not be judged. Lost entry slips can be reprinted from your account at any time.

Ideas for Birdscares and Scarecrows - Christmas theme, favourite fictional character or your favourite teacher!
Due to seasonal uncertainties, late nominations for entries in Agriculture will be accepted, online only. However, all nominations must be in by Friday before show week (12th July 2019). Nominations after this date will not be accepted.
ART RULES The following rules apply in addition to the General Regulations.
• Any article that has won a prize in a previous Katherine Show is not
eligible to re-entry.
• All entries must be the work of the exhibitor and must be original in thought and composition.
• All entries must be delivered to Art Pavilion, between 11am – 2pm on the Saturday before Show Day (13th July).
All paintings/drawings in open classes must be framed, with hooks and wire, ready for hanging; except Computer Generated Media which must be displayed as per the Photography rules on ‘How to Present Your Photo’.
Junior entrants may use velcro on the back of their unframed artwork – only use the “hook” part of the velcro. Entries
without velcro (or are unmounted) will be asked to make a gold coin donation to cover costs to mount photo.
• Entries in all classes MUST NOT exceed 1 metre x 1.5 metres in any direction, including frame.
Attach the Entry Slip to the FRONT of your Artwork, otherwise it won’t get judged.
There is to be no other identification on the front of your entry. If you have signed it, it must be covered over.
Entries that fall apart or can’t be hung will not be displayed and won’t get judged.

COOKING RULES The following rules apply in addition to the General Regulations.
• Entries are to be delivered to the Cooking Pavilion (below grandstand)
between 10am – 12.30pm Thursday prior to Show Day (18th July).
• Cakes, pastries etc, which have been frozen, are acceptable.
• Please ensure lids are easily removed for judging.
• Present entries on the smallest possible plate or tray, place the entry
including plate inside a large clear plastic bag (oven bag is ideal). Do
NOT seal the bag, do not use doilies, glad wrap or sticky tape. Gold Coin
donation is requested for all entries not presented correctly, to
cover costs.
• Attach (staple or pin) nomination slip to plate with the entry
number showing, before it is placed in the bag.
• All cakes and biscuits must be un-iced unless specified. This includes
dusting with icing sugar and other toppings that are not baked onto
the cake/biscuit.
• Name variety of cakes and biscuits where specified or they will not be
judged. Make sure the variety name is attached to the plate before
placing it in the bag.
• Make sure you have the correct number of items on the plate and have
included any other required information (e.g. list of ingredients for
Damper).
• No ring tins or fluted cutters to be used.
• Packet mixes for cakes and pastries must not be used.
• Previous winners of the “Battle of the Sexes” are not eligible for prizes
in the Blokes and Sheilas classes or “Battle of the Sexes” award.
• Decorated Cakes are to be handwork only. Vase, pillars, ribbon, tulle,
stamens and fine natural dried stems are permitted.
• Preserves - All entries must be in screw top jars, preserving type jars, or
bottles with lids; of 250ml or greater. Attach (sticky tape or glue) the
entry slip to the BASE of the jar or bottle with the entry number
showing. Also write the entry number on the label & lid. Please loosen
the lid.

• All entries must be delivered to the Craft display area between 11am – 2pm the Saturday before the Show (13th July).
• Entries must be less than 1.5 metres by 1.5 metres and of a weight that can be safely handled by one person. If the item is deemed to be non-compliant it will not be displayed and will not be judged.
• Entries that require hanging must have all requirements needed to be hung, e.g. string, rods, hooks etc. All other entries must be free standing or suitable for displaying inside our display cabinets. Items not suitable for displaying when they are dropped off will not be displayed and will not be judged.

PHOTOGRAPHY RULES The following rules apply in addition to the General Regulations.
• Entries must be delivered to the Photography Pavilion between 11am – 2pm Saturday prior to Show Day (13th July).
• Entries must not have been entered in a previous Katherine Show.
• Photos in junior classes can be printed in any size. Sizes specified are indicative only.
• Entries must be firmly attached to a cardboard mount as per diagram. No thicker than 5mm with a 3cm border all around. NOTE: Glue sticks do NOT work in our climate, use double sided tape or staples.
Photos not mounted correctly will not be displayed and will not be judged. Photos that have fallen off the border frame will not be displayed and will not be judged. If the entry slip is not securely attached and falls off the photo, it will not be judged.
• Entries must be submitted with velcro hooks on the rear of the photo frame for attaching to the wall. Entries without velcro will be asked to
make a gold coin donation to cover costs to mount photo.
• Photos under glass or glass mounts are not acceptable and will not be judged.
• Photographs must be the work of the exhibitor.
• No identifying names or marks are to be visible on the displayed photograph
