Kathleen Corcoran (Voice) Soprano Kathleen Corcoran has been acclaimed for her warm clear voice, embracing stage presence and intelligent musicality. She performs a broad repertoire and has recorded lieder, chamber music and contemporary works. Although her formal training was through Canadian universities she has also studied and performed in Austria, Denmark, England, Slovakia and France. In her home province of Alberta Kathleen has been a featured soloist for works such as Messiah, Carmina Burana, Mozart and Faure Requiems, Elijah, Bachʼs B Minor Mass and the Creation with the Edmonton Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic, Red Deer Symphony, Lethbridge Symphony, as well as featured soloist for Bach cantatas, Handel and Mozart works with the Alberta Baroque Ensemble, Mocha Baroque, Regina Symphonic Ensemble, Richard Eaton Singers, Augustana Choir, University of Alberta Madrigal Singers, and Pro Coro Canada. Kathleen has recorded Rzewski, Grieg, Spohr and contemporary American music for Arktos, CBC, and Musical America labels. Kathleen has been guest clinician and adjudicator throughout Western and Northern Canada and Hong Kong. Throughout her years at the University of Alberta she has taught voice, music theory, music history, opera history, vocal pedagogy, vocal literature and conducted the university womenʼs choir. Kathleen currently heads the Vocal Division at the University of Alberta, Augustana Campus.
