Author of the Casualty Officers’ Handbook and the first President of the national Casualty Surgeons’ Association Leslie Pyrah 1899-1995 Set up the first renal dialysis unit in the UK. Director of the Medical Research Council unit in Leeds and Professor of Urological Surgery.
