Kawasaki Paint Information from WWW.PAINTWORKZ.com Lubri-Tech was the factory recommended touch up paint back in the seventies, but they are now out of business. Here is all the color information I have for Kawasaki. The Lubri- Tech paint numbers will not help you get paint mixed. They were only part numbers, not mixing codes. You will notice most colors are Candy colors. You will not get a good match if you have the local paint store do a computer match from one of your parts since you will just get a formula for a metallic car color. For the Candy top coat colors you will be close using any brand of Candy orange, green, or blue paint. The tricky part is matching the odd base coat color combinations the Japanese used back then. Very few Candy colors use the standard silver or gold metallic base coats like you would see on say a House of Kolors chart. It is best to have a sample part that you can sand through the different layers of paint to determine the exact base coat colors.
