These NEMA 3R receptacle covers ensure compliance with 2005 NEC Article 406.8 (B) (1) which requires that15 and 20 ampere, 125 and 250 volt receptacles installed in a wet location have an enclosure that is weatherproof whether or not the attachment plug cap is inserted. They also meet the 1999 NEC Article 410-57(b) and are designed to meet the 1999 NEC Article 210-60(b), which requires that receptacles installedbehind beds in hotels and motels be protected with a suitable guard.

All covers are shipped with gasket, mounting screws, base and cover assembly and patented inserts. TheFlexi-Guard series provides inserts for a variety of applications; 16 for the WP1100 single gang series and 70for the WP1200 two gang series. The single gang Flexi-Guard models are all designed to mount horizontallyor vertically. The patented insert design ensures flexibility in the field by simply inserting the proper insert intothe base and cover assembly. The two gang Flexi-Guard models utilize six “split” inserts which create virtuallyany dual device combination, as well as providing additional flexibility because the inserts can be rotated 90,180 or 270 degrees. This provides coverage for horizontally or vertically mounted devices as well as “lefthand” or “right hand” applications without removing and switching the two installed devices.

The “jumbo covers” WP1150C, WP1250C, WP1050 and WP1050G provide protection for a single large cordset (up to 3/4" dia.) for portable spa heaters and other heavy duty applications. A lockable hasp is providedon selected models. The hasp accepts up to .315" (8 mm) diameter shank.

Substrate Preparation:

The surface to be coated must be free of all contamination (including dust, dirt, oil, grease, and oxidation). A chemical treatment (or conversion coating) will improve adhesion and performance properties of the finished coat. Variability can occur with substrates, preparation, application method or environment. We recommend that adhesion and system compatibility be checked prior to full application.

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA:Use National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Class B extinguishers (carbon dioxide, dry chemical, or universal aqueous film forming foam) designed to extinguish NFPA Class II combustible liquid fires. Water spray may be ineffective. Water spray may be used to cool closed containers to prevent pressure build-up and possible autoignition or explosion when exposed to extreme heat. PROTECTION OF FIREFIGHTERS:Fire-fighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing. UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS:When this product is used, the overspray and other combustible materials such as paint booth filters, rags, masking materials, etc., contaminated by coating material are subject to spontaneous combustion. Wetting the contaminated materials and not packing them tightly together in refuse containers will minimize the potential for this to occur. Keep this product away from heat, sparks, flame, and other sources of ignition (i.e., pilot lights, electric motors, static electricity). Invisible vapors can travel to a source of ignition and flash back. Do not smoke while using this product. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use. Closed containers may explode when overheated. Do not apply to hot surfaces. Toxic gases may form when this product comes in contact with extreme heat. May produce hazardous decomposition products when exposed to extreme heat. Extreme heat includes, but is not limited to, flame cutting, brazing, and welding.

SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURE STEPS TO BE TAKEN IF MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED:Provide maximum ventilation. Only personnel equipped with proper respiratory, skin, and eye protection should be permitted in the area. Remove all sources of ignition. Take up spilled material with sand, vermiculite, or other noncombustible absorbent material and place in clean, empty containers for disposal. Only the spilled material and the absorbant should be placed in this container.

SECTION 7 - HANDLING AND STORAGEPRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN DURING HANDLING AND STORAGE:Vapors may collect in low areas. If this material is part of a multiple component system, read the Material Safety Data Sheet(s) for the other component or components before blending as the resulting mixture may have the hazards of all of its parts. Containers should be grounded when pouring. Avoid free fall of liquids in excess of a few inches. STORAGE:Do not store above 120 degrees F.(48 degrees C.). Store large quantities in buildings designed and protected for storage of NFPA Class II combustible liquids.

SECTION 8 - EXPOSURE CONTROLS & PERSONAL PROTECTIONENGINEERING CONTROLS: Provide general dilution or local exhaust ventilation in volume and pattern to keep the concentration of ingredients listed in Section 8 below the lowest suggested exposure limits, the LEL below the stated limit, and to remove decomposition products during welding or flame cutting.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT EYES:Wear chemical-type splash goggles and full face shield when possibility exists for eye contact due to splashing or spraying liquid, airborne particles, or vapors.

SKIN/GLOVES: Wear protective clothing to prevent skin contact. Apron and gloves should be constructed of: butyl rubber. No specific permeation/degradation testing have been done on protective clothing for this product. Recommendations for skin protection are based on infrequent contact with this product. For frequent contact or total immersion, contact a manufacturer of protective clothing for appropriate chemical impervious equipment. Clean contaminated clothing and shoes. RESPIRATOR:Overexposure to vapors may be prevented by ensuring proper ventilation controls, vapor exhaust or fresh air entry. A NIOSH- approved air purifying respirator with the appropriate chemical cartridges or a positive-pressure, air-supplied respirator may also reduce exposure. Read the respirator manufacturer's instructions and literature carefully to determine the type of airborne contaminants against which the respirator is effective, its limitations, and how it is to be properly fitted and used. Provide general dilution or local exhaust ventilation in volume and pattern to keep the concentration of ingredients listed in Section 2 below the lowest suggested exposure limits, the LEL below the stated limit, and to remove decomposition products during welding or flame cutting.GENERAL HYGIENE - ESTABLISHED EXPOSURE LIMITS If Threshold Limit Values (TLVs) have been established by ACGIH, OSHA, Ontario or PPG, they will be listed below. These limits are intended for use in the practice of industrial hygiene as guidelines or recommendations in the control of potential workplace health hazards. SUPPLEMENTAL HEALTH INFORMATION: Material/

CAS Number

PercentIngredient Specific Animal Data:

METHYL ETHYL

KETONE 78-93-3

7 - 13 This product contains methyl ethyl ketone (MEK). MEK has been shown to cause minor embryotoxic/fetotoxic effects in laboratory animals exposed for prolonged periods at high concentrations via inhalation. The potential for human exposure to high concentrations is expected to be low due to the irritating effects of MEK at low concentrations.

ETHYL BENZENE 100-41-4

3 - 7 Ethylbenzene has been reported by NTP to cause cancer in laboratory animals following a chronic (2 year) inhalation exposure. Dose levels of 75, 250 and 750 ppm were used, with evidence of carcinogenicity found in the kidneys of rats and the lung and liver of mice at 750 ppm. The No Observed Effect Level (NOEL) was 75 ppm. The relevance of these findings to humans is uncertain, but appropriate safeguards should be employed to reduce or eliminate inhalation exposure to ethylbenzene.

2-BUTOXY ETHANOL 111-76-2

3 - 7 This product contains an ethylene series glycol ether and/or acetate which has been shown to cause adverse effects on the kidneys, liver, blood and/or blood-forming tissue. In a two-year NTP inhalation study, there was no significant increase in the incidence of any type of tumor in rats exposed to 2-butoxy ethanol at concentrations up to 125 ppm except a questionable trend in the incidence of adrenal gland tumors in female rats. When mice were exposed to concentrations of 62.5, 125, and 250 ppm, there was some evidence of carcinogenicity found in the liver of male mice and the forestomach of female mice at 250 ppm.

CARBON BLACK

1333-86-4

0.1-1.0 This product contains carbon black which has been rated an IARC 2B carcinogen due to animal data.

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES• Cost-effective – ease of handling

and fabrication plus light weight make for easy, fast installation and low total applied cost.

• Thermally Efficient – provides effective resistance to heat transfer with R-values up to R-17.4 (RSI-3.06).

• Acoustically Efficient – reduces transmission of sound through roofs and walls.

• Fire-resistant and Noncombustible – (see Specification Compliance).

• Moisture-resistant – vapor-retarder facings resist water vapor transmission (see Specification Compliance).

• Noncorrosive – does not accelerate corrosion of pipes, wiring or metal studs.

• Durable – unaffected by moisture, oil, grease and most acids. It will not rot, mildew or otherwise deteriorate, preventing slumping and uninsulated voids.

• Easy to Handle – unlike some products that are friable, fiber glass maintains its physical integrity during handling.

• Self-supporting – because of its rigidity, Insul-SHIELD 300 and 600 can often be attached without framing.

Insul-SHIELD®

Thermal and Acoustical Semi-rigid and Rigid Board Products

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Insul-SHIELD is a series of semi-rigid or rigid thermal and acoustical fiber glass insulating boards for custom curtain wall applications. They are made from inorganic glass fibers bonded with a thermosetting binder. The insulating boards are typically used where framing is not present.

Note: Insul-SHIELD may be manufactured either with or without a formaldehyde-based binder. Check with your sales representative for availability of Formaldehyde-free™ Insul-SHIELD in your area.

APPLICATIONS

• New and Retrofit Construction – Insul-SHIELD insulation provides thermal and acoustical insulating values for exterior curtain wall cavities, parking structures, mechanical rooms, theaters, casinos and other commercial construction applications. The insulating boards are typically used where framing is not present. (I/S 100 is often used in shaft wall applications.)

• Custom Curtain Wall Construction – Exterior curtain wall cavities – Insul-SHIELD is exceptionally well suited to curtain wall construction in terms of both installation and performance. When used in the exterior envelope of steel-framed buildings, it helps reduce heat loss in the winter and heat gain in the summer. The result is an attractive, efficient thermal enclosure that significantly reduces the cost of air treatment, cuts long-term energy expenses and improves life-cycle costs.

The insulation, in sizes up to 56" x 84" (1.42 m x 2.14 m), is easily installed by one person. Insul-SHIELD is available in a variety of densities, thicknesses and facings for custom curtain wall applications. It can be custom-manufactured to precise dimensions to fit specific spandrel panel designs.

• Standard Metal Panel Construction – Insul-SHIELD offers a variety of sizes, densities and facings for on-the-job or in-the-shop insulation of metal panel buildings such as power plants, assembly buildings, sports arenas and other commercial facilities.

In these applications, Insul-SHIELD is field-installed between an interior liner and the outer metal panel using semi-rigid boards (I/S 150, 225) that are plain or faced with a factory-applied vapor retarder. Insul-SHIELD is also available custom-cut to fit pre-insulated metal sandwich panels.

• General Construction – A versatile insulation, Insul-SHIELD is also an ideal thermal barrier for masonry or concrete structures such as shopping centers, banks and many other types of low-rise commercial or institutional buildings. It is also ideal for use in parking garage ceilings.

In masonry applications, semi-rigid and rigid Insul-SHIELD boards faced with an FSK vapor retarder are installed between “Z” or hat channels applied directly to the masonry surface. Normally, gypsum board and/or architectural panels are then used as interior surfaces.

• Theaters – With a state-of-the-art acrylic-coated surface, Insul-SHIELD Coated Black is an ideal backdrop for theater screens. The opaque surface absorbs both sound and light, eliminating concern about back-scatter into the viewing arena.

Insul-SHIELD boards are designed for custom curtain wall applications.

Faced Insul-SHIELD boards can be used where a vapor barrier is needed. FSK facing has the best fire performance characteristics and helps maximize lighting efficiency.

Insul-SHIELD Black provides a semi-rigid substrate beneath the fabric treatment used on theater side walls. The black, mat-faced insulation provides adequate shadowing behind any surface treatment.

Insul-SHIELD Coated Black is ideal for theater applications. Product shown was specified with both face and edge coating.

INSTALLATION

Insul-SHIELD can be easily cut and friction-fit between vertical or Z-shaped framing or hat channels applied directly to a masonry surface. The insulation can also be installed with impaling pins or with suitable adhesives.

In standard metal panel construction applications, Insul-SHIELD is field-installed between an interior liner and the outer metal panel. Normally, gypsum board and/or architectural panels are then used as interior surfaces. Some trimming may be necessary if used in ceiling grids, as this product is a commercial-use board.Note: In colder climate areas, vapor retarders (whether attached to the insulation or applied separately) are often placed toward the heated or conditioned side of the wall. This is done to reduce water vapor penetration into the wall from the building interior. Conversely, in predominantly hot, humid climates local practices often call for placing the vapor retarder toward the outside of the wall cavity. Check your local building codes for vapor retarder requirements.

Recommended Pin Patterns I/S 100, 150, 225, 300 and 600: pins should be placed approximately 3"–5" (76 mm–127 mm) from the edges of the product.

PREPARATORY WORKand INSTALLATION

________________________________________________

Porta-King Building Systems4133 Shoreline DriveEarth City, MO 63045800-456-5464 www.portaking.com

PREPARATORYWORK

It is the responsibility ofthe buyer to perform allpreparatory work (unlessotherwise specified in aPorta-King BuildingSystems contract).

IMPORTANT: Thesecuring of buildingpermits and compliancewith appropriate buildingcodes is not theresponsibility of Porta-King, but is theresponsibility of thepurchaser of the building.

It is NOT theresponsibility of Porta-King to verify that these“suggestions” complywith local and statecodes, rather, it is theresponsibility of thepurchaser of the building.

SUGGESTIONS

1. Pour concrete island (pad) minimum 4” deep. Theisland should be a minimum of 12” wider than theroofline dimensions to allow a 6” concrete border oneach side of the building roofline.

2. Level the concrete island and install ballards at eachcorner of the building to further protect the buildingfrom damage caused by passing vehicles.

3. Provide three-wire 240v/110v single-phase, 100amperage, service (standard) to the concrete island.Refer to your Porta-King approval drawing, whichillustrate the proper “stub up” location for yourelectrical source.

4. If your installation requires plumbing, provide a freshwater supply line and gray-matter waste line to theconcrete island. Refer to your Porta-King approvaldrawing, which illustrate the proper “stub up” locationfor your plumbing lines.

5. Receive and offload the building using either a forklifttruck or overhead crane. Position the building square onthe concrete island and anchor. Remove wooden skids.

6. Recommended concrete anchor is ½” x 4” galvanized orstainless steel, or comply with local codes – which everis MORE stringent.

7. Make the final electrical / plumbing / communicationconnections and clean the work area.

TYPICAL CONDUIT ACCESS CUTOUTLOCATION AND BREAKER BOXSPECIFICATION

1. The “typical” conduit access floor cutout measures 6” x12”. It is located 10” and 4” from the corner of thebuilding, as illustrated.

2. The “standard” breaker box is a single-phase, 12-circuit,100-amp main load center, positioned as illustrated.
