Its a common misconception that
the best way to support camp is by
donating money. While monetary
donations go a long way in sustaining
our programming and facility care,
Kasota East Camp is eager for many
other kinds of support.
Volunteer at Camp
Whether you are volunteering as a
camp counselor, kitchen assistant, or
helping out on a maintenance project,
volunteering reduces operation costs.
Check out our online Volunteer Wish
List for ideas.
Help with Summer Programming
Do you have a talent or skill that
would enhance our summer
programming? Past volunteers have
included yoga instructors, special craft
leaders, actors, and musicians.
Donate an Item on Our Wish List
Our online Wish List includes both
commonly used supplies for
programming, and special requests
from the Property
Committee. We are
always grateful for new or
gently used donations.
Promote Camp
One of the best
ways you can
support KEC is by
helping us recruit new
campers. Our promotional
materials can be posted in your
community, passed out at schools,
and in your church. Word-of-mouth
recommendations are the best
advertising so please invite a friend!
Volunteer for a Fundraiser
KEC holds fundraising events
year-round. Many of these events are
hosted through local church
congregations. You can check theevents section of our website or
contact your local United Church to
find out whats coming up.
If you would like to plan and host
your own fundraiser for camp, please
contact a KEC Board Member for
support in doing so.
Attend Camp Clean-Up
Camp Clean-Up is on May 4 this
year. Volunteers gather to help us
prepare the camp for our upcoming
summer programs. Whether you can
help with cleaning or site maintenance
all help is welcome!
Submit a Story
Alumni stories are an invaluable
part of KECs history. You can submit a
story, photo, or video to share on our
website or in our newsletter. Contact
us by e-mail for further details.
