Range Safety• Dogs and other pets are not allowed on the range.

• No climbing or playing on the berms or hills.

• All spectators are to remain in designed areas.

• All plants and wildlife are to be left undisturbed.

• Participants and spectators are encouraged to bring their own shade, water and sunscreen as needed.

• Upon arrival at the range, either leave firearm in the case or place in the rack

• Shooters will bring their firearms to the firing line only when instructed by their range instructor.

• Shooters are responsible to bring their own firearms, ammo, ear and eye protection and appropriate equipment and supplies.

• Firearms utilized by all shooters are subject to the approval of certified discipline leaders for the compliance with state 4-H Shooting Sports requirements and safety factors.

• There will be a first shot fundamentals meeting for all 1st year rifle shooters scheduled for a weeknight between todayand discipline training day. We will get together after this meeting to set this up.

Qualifying for the Kit Carson CountyState Championship teams

Complete your project with at least a red ribbon.

Attend and compete in at least 2 of the 5 scheduled qualifying shoots

and have at least 3 qualifying scores.Shooters can shoot twice on one day if they advise

the extension office or a coach prior to the shoot.

Exceptions to this rule can be made at the coaches'

discretion.

The top 3 scores will be used to determine the

qualification of the shooter for the team.

There are 6 team members for all disciplines

Except shotgun which has 5.
