Ifpoorperformanceoccursandcannotbeattributedtoadverseweatherorapplicationconditions,aresistantbiotypemaybepresent.Whereothercontrolstrategies,suchascroprotation,mechanicalremoval,andotherclassesofherbicidesarenotusedinfieldsfromyeartoyear,thisismostlikelytooccur.
Contactofthisproductwithdesirablegrasscrops,suchascorn,rice,sorghum,smallgrains,orturfshouldbeavoidedastheseandothergrasscropswillbeinjuredorkilled.Minorleafspottingcanoccurontreatedplantsundercertainenvironmentalconditions.Newfoliageisnotaffected.

SYMPTOMS OF CONTROLThetreatedgrassweedsshowareductioninvigorandgrowth.Earlychlorosis/necrosisofyoungerplanttissueisfollowedbyaprogressivecollapseoftheremainingfoliage.Dependingongrassspeciestreatedandenvironmentalconditions,symptomswillgenerallybeobservedin7to14daysafterapplication.
APPLICATION INFORMATIONTimingMakeapplicationofVOLUNTEERpostemergencetoactivelygrowinggrassesaccordingtotheratetablerecommendations.Donotmakeapplicationtograssplantsstressedbyinsufficientmoistureorhotorcoldtemperature.Applicationstograssplantsexceedingrecommendedgrowthstagescouldresultinunsatisfactorycontrol.Donotmakeapplicationswhenthisoccurs.
Whenirrigationisusedtosupplementlimitedrainfallinaridregions,VOLUNTEERshouldbeappliedassoonaspossible,afteranirrigation(within7days).Asecondapplicationofthisproductwillgenerallyprovidemoreeffectivecontrolofperennialgrassweedthanasingleapplicationinaridregions.Applyasecondapplicationtoactivelygrowinggrass2to3weeksafteremergenceofnewgrowth.
Cultivationoftreatedgrasses7dayspriortoorwithin7daysafterapplicationofthisproductcouldreduceweedcontrol.DONOTAPPLYifrainfallisexpectedwithinonehourascontrolmaybereduced.
