Rabbi Isaac Elchanan TheologicalSeminary and received his Bache¬lor of Arts Degree (cum laude) fromYeshiva College. He served as Rabbiat the Young Israel of Cincinnati andfor the past two years has been thesuccessor to the late Rabbi Dr. Ber¬nard Drachman at the Zichron Eph¬raim Congregation. We welcomeRabbi Reichel to our synagogue andeagerly look forward to his message.

JEWISH ARBOR DAYWednesday, February 5, is Ham-
isha Asar Bi-Shevat—Jewish ArborDay. This is the New Year of theTrees and marks the beginning ofSpring in Palestine. The children ofRamaz and of the afternoon ReligiousSchool will observe this day withappropriate exercises. Many havepurchased trees to be planted in Pal¬estine in honor of their dear ones.
Others have contributed to the JewishNational Fund.
The children of the Religious Schoolwill present a Tu Bi-Shevat assemblyprogram on Sunday morning, Febru¬ary 2 at 11 o'clock. The children ofRamaz will see the latest Palestinefilm in technicolor, "Home Are theHunted" at their assembly on Friday,February 7.

SISTERHOOD NEWSMrs. Benjamin Gottesmanto Address February Meeting
The next, membership meeting ofour Sisterhood will take place Mon¬day afternoon, February 17. Theplace will be announced in the nextissue of the Bulletin.
At this meeting, the Sisterhood willhave the pleasure of greeting its de¬voted member, Mrs. Benjamin Goties-man, who has recently returned fromthe Zionist Congress in Basle. Mrs.Gottesman who was a delegate ofthe American Hadassah and took anactive part in the Congress proceed¬ings, will tell us about her experi¬ences at this momentous gathering.This is a rare opportunity for ourmembers to learn about the problemsfacing Zionism at this crucial hour,and we are sure that everyone willwant to hear her report.
Mrs. D. Harry Kleinfeld,Chairman, Red Cross Drive
We are pleased to announce thatMrs. D. Harry Kleinfeld has beenappointed chairman of the Sister¬hood Red Cross Drive which will belaunched on March 1.
Our organization has always takenan active part in the work of the RedCross and we are confident that thisyear our members will again con¬tribute generously to this worthycause.
OPEN SCHOOL WEEK AT RAMAZ
The week of February 3 (Mondaythrough Thursday) has been sched¬uled as Open School Week. Duringthis period, parents and friends areinvited to come to the school and ob¬serve classroom instruction and otheractivities.
In the past it has been found thatboth parents and the school bene¬fitted greatly from this experience. Itis hoped, therefore, that many willmake time to take advantage of thisopportunity to visit Ramaz.
RELIGIOUS SCHOOLBEGINS NEW TERM
The children of our afternoon Re¬ligious School have successfully com¬pleted a term's work and have madefine progress in their studies. Manyhave earned honor certificates foroutstanding scholarship in the vari¬ous subjects.The mid-year registration period for
new pupils will close this Sunday,February 2. The new Spring term willbegin Monday, February 3. Parentswho wish to enroll their children inthe afternoon classes or in the "GanHayeled" — special kindergartenclass — are urged to do so no laterthan Sunday.

Our Annual Smoker
The Men's Club Annual Smoker,held January 21st, may be past his¬tory but it is still the topic of conversa¬tion among our members. All agreethat this was an outstanding socialevent—-well planned, well attendedand well enjoyed. It was in every re¬spect an evening of good fellowship,when friends came together to play,dine, chat and enjoy each otherscompany. It is affairs such as thesethat best characterize the spirit aswell as the aim of the Men's Club.
We extend our hearty thanks tothe efficient arrangement committee,and particularly to its chairman, Mr.Alex Garfein. The effort and the de¬votion he displayed contributed in nosmall measure to the success of thesmoker.
Rabbi Lookstein to AddressFebruary Forum
As previously announced, theMen's Club is honored to presentRabbi Lookstein as its speaker at thenext forum meeting on Tuesday eve¬
ning, February 18, in the auditoriumof the Synagogue House. The Rab¬bi's subject will be, "Jewish Life inMexico."
Rabbi Lookstein, who is now in thatcountry on behalf of the Joint Distribu¬tion Committee, will have occasionto meet the leaders of Mexican Jewry

and to visit the religious and com-*munal institutions established there.His talk will therefore be a first-handreport of our Jewish brethren southof the Rio Grande and should be ofspecial interest to all of us.
Those who remember the Rabbi'saddresses last year after his returnfrom Europe know what to expect andthey will eagerly look forward to hisreport on Mexico.
Ladies will be welcomed at thisforum meeting.
A New Record
Our Year Book chairmen, Messrs.Abe Kirshon and William B. Fisch-berg have very good news for us. Asthe campaign for ads draws to aclose, they are proud to report thatthis year the Men's Club has pro¬cured more ads than ever before, andhas thus established a new record ofaccomplishment for this project.
This news is most gratifying andwe are thankful to the able chair¬men for their splendid efforts. To allthe members and friends of the Men'sClub who were good enough to insertads and greetings in the Jubilee YearBook, we extend our sincerest grati¬tude.
