Keith Haring 5th grade, M.Jenny In our English lessons we talk about “colours of art”. We read the biography of Keith Haring. We began to discribe and compare the paintings. The whole class likes his colourful pictures and his funny figures. Therefore every classmate chose a picture and discribed it with his own minds and ideas. (Andrea)

The picture Iʼve chosen shows a skateboarder. The background is white. In the middle of the picture there is a child. He is painted in blue. And the child has a cross on the belly. The skateboard is red with yellow wheels. I like this picture because it means “sport is important”! (Yannick S.)

The picture Iʼve chosen shows teamwork. Theyʼre playing soccer.The red figure is bigger than the violet figure. I think they are happy. But on the other hand theyʼre maybe fighting for the yellow ball. They are putting their arms in the air and I think theyʼre shouting. I donʼt like the red one because he is bigger. The picture Iʼve chosen shows a black ball with monkeys in it. The monkeys are playing a game. There is also a monkey baby. All monkeys are colourful and different. They are painted in blue, red green and yellow. I think it is a special symbol for fun. I like the picture because it is full of energy. (Simon)

In this picture there are fourteen figures. They are building a tower. For better results every pair is holding a rope. The ground is violet with black dots. The background is dark yellow. I like the figures because every figure is painted in a special colour. And that looks cool. I think the tower is not stabel, an accident will happen. (Luca)

It has already eaten a hole in the personʼ s body. There is also a frame painted in green and black. I like this picture because the figure is eating his own body and he doesnʼt prefere ham. I think the picture means that the time is walking ahead. And we canʼt go back. I like this picture because it also shows teamwork. The two figures should work together. (Chantal)
