Beginning in the late 1930’s through the 1950’s, we will once again enjoy many of the performers whom you may have watched on the big screen. From June Allyson to Vera Allen and Fred Astaire to Donald O’Connor, you will discuss the mark each dancer made on the big screen. Your instructor, Terry Dennison, has been tap dancing through life since the age of seven. He enjoys sharing his love for Hollywood musicals and their dancing stars because the stars of that era are too good to be forgotten.Mondays • 9/26/16-10/17/16 • 1-3 pm • $40

Singin’ in the Rain: The Most Famous Musical of all Time! Singin’ in the Rain is commonly consid-ered to be the greatest musical of all time. If you have never seen this musical, it has been years since you have, or you just want to enjoy it all over again, this class is for you! We’ll watch the 1952 film starring Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor, and Debbie Reynolds in its entirety, then hear fun and interesting facts about the movie and its stars from your instructor, Terry Dennison. Learn what happened to O’Connor’s suit from the most famous number in the film. Hear about health issues the stars struggled through during filming, and understand why and how filming had to happen during the day but appear as if it were at night. Tricks of the trade related to singing and dubbing used during the production, and personal experiences your instructor had with some of the actors will also be revealed. As a special treat, an actual costume worn by Debbie Reynolds from another perfor-mance with Donald O’Connor in 1987 at Universal Studios Amphitheater called “Together Again for the First Time” will be on display.Monday • 10/24/16 • 1-4 pm • $25
