Exclusive AccessUnlike many remote wilderness lodges in Alaska that can only be accessed by plane or a long boat ride across rough waters, Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge is easily reached via a 45-minute day cruise from the port of Seward. The cruise travels the calm, protected waters of Resurrection Bay and is provided by Kenai Fjords Tours, departing daily at noon.
Guests returning on the Resurrection Bay Tour depart Fox Island at 2:00 p.m. on their fi nal day, after savoring breakfast prepared by the island chef at the lodge. These guests also enjoy a wild Alaska salmon and prime rib buffet for lunch. Add a half-pound of chilled Alaska king crab for a nominal fee. Guests seeking to adventure deeper into Kenai Fjords National Park can opt for a National Park Tour or the premium Northwestern Fjord Tour that travel outside Resurrection Bay and cruise to the face of calving glaciers in Kenai Fjords National Park. The Northwestern Fjord Tour takes guests deep into the national park to view the glaciers of the Northwestern Fjord. This cruise is popular with birders as it also visits the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge, island home to teeming seabird rookeries.
