Customized Job Training Grant Funding PrioritiesEstablish a training program in an industry with skilled
labor shortage or with growth potential.Support a private company or labor organization that is

more jobs and is making a capital investment of at least $1 million. Receive support from their Local Workforce Investment Board to address a critical skill shortage.

GFT Company Eligibility RequirementsPA based employers (or have a significant presence in the state). Point-of-sale retail businesses, gaming establishments, training
vendors, employment agencies, government agencies, government-owned facilities, education and nonprofit entities are ineligible.
Employers with a high historical turnover rate (greater than 50%) may be declared ineligible.
Participation is limited to two years in a row and three out of the past five years.
Training must begin within five months of the grant approval letter or by the end of the fiscal year, whichever comes first. If not, the funds will be forfeited.

GFT Funding RequirementsEarn at least 150% of the current federal minimum wage at
start of training excluding benefits (more than $10.88 an hour).
Be a permanent full-time employee and eligible to receive full-time benefits.
Be a verifiable resident of PA and employed in PA.Be a front-line employee or a first-level supervisor.Eligible training period is July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010Training from all invoices year-to-date up to maximum
allowance of $450 per employee for Basic Skills and $850 per employee for Information Technology Training
