The two positions for our school have been allocated. We welcome to Kenthurst our new School Administration Officer, Mrs Denise Paddison. Mrs Paddison will be commencing Day 1 of Term 3, so please come to the front office to say hello. Also, Mrs Gibbs will be starting her maternity leave at the end of this term and we are delighted to welcome Mrs Alyse Collins who will be teaching 1G and organizing the school choir. Mrs Collins has spent today getting to know the children and team teaching with Mrs Gibbs. A warm welcome to Kenthurst, I am sure you are going to enjoy working with the students, teachers and our broader community. This is such a wonderful school. Another example of this positive attitude is attributed to Mrs McKenzie, a grandmother of two of our students. Mrs McKenzie has been very concerned about the traffic on Kenthurst Road and that we do not have flashing lights. After speaking with me, she approached our Member for Hawkesbury Ray Williams MP and asked what he could do to help us. He advised for us to write a letter to the Minister for Roads and Ports, The Hon Duncan Gay MLC and express our concerns. As a result of that letter I am pleased to announce, that due to Mrs McKenzie’s efforts Kenthurst Public School is getting flashing lights on Kenthurst Road, next term. That’s the Kenthurst way! Positive action. Thank you Mrs McKenzie. The Mandarin lessons have been such a success and the students will be assessed next week. Lessons for the remaining classes will begin next term. The costs for the Mandarin lessons are $40.00 per student for the whole term. An invoice will be sent home shortly. Yours in quality education. Caron Dodd - Principal
