Electrical Diagram1) Replace pre-filter kit (part # GG-2568ZR) once every six months or more oftenlocal water conditions dictate. 2) Change membrane(s) once every two years ormore often if local water conditions dictate. 3) When changing membrane, make sO-ring of new membrane is in the same position as previous membrane. 4) Takeinlet, brine & product TDS readings to ensure unit is working properly. 5) Makesure pump pressure does not exceed 90 psi. 6) Check to make sure no leaks exist.7) Make sure pump shuts off from time to time and is allowed to rest.

KES MistWise Reverse Osmosis - Troubleshooting & Maintenance

    *2 Amp Transform120v to 24v

    (GG-2522MW)

    Problem

    Power LEDlight is OFF

    Pump neverturns "off".

    Product TDSis too high.

    Solution

Make sure that the LED is not burned out. Check the 115vac primary voltage going into the 24 volt transformer. If

primary voltage is good, check the secondary voltagecoming out of the 24 volt transformer. If thats good, makesure the 4 amp breaker located to the right of the ON/OFF

switch is good. If secondary voltage is bad, replacetransformer.

The pump should turn off when it reaches approx. 60 to 70psi of product pressure. If product pressure is significantlyabove this, check the pressure switch.Remember, each time you turn the unit "OFF" and "ON":

    A) A 1-2 minute backwash cycle will run before RO startsits normal running mode.

    B) If product pressure will not reach its 65-70 psi cut-offpoint, check the pre-filters to make sure theyre notclogged. The membrane may need changing (cloggedmembranes will produce little to no product water). Theunloader on the pump may be set too low.

To lower TDS readings for product water, make sure thebrine drain (waste water in yellow tube) is flowing, adjustunloader on pump so pump pressure can achieve 90 psi, orreplace the Membrane.

    A) Membranes need changingB) The backwash solenoid may be malfunctioning.C) Make sure the water is flowing freely through yellow

brine drain line (the yellow brine drain and the blue productflows should be about equal.

SolutionIf supplying a pressure tank, air pressure may be lost from ttank. To check air pressure, all water must be removed fromthe tank. If a leak causes air to be lost then the tank will neto be replaced.

    A) This will not harm the system.

    B) Take off the check valve on the blue 1/4 product line, tathem on a hard surface. This will reposition the seat in thecheck valve. Replace with the arrow going in proper positioIf the problem persist, call technical support.

Check if the Pump LED is "ON.". If the pump LED is not"ON", check the product pressure gauge. If the pressure is

between approx. 50 and 70 psi , the pump should not berunning and the LED should not be "ON". If Pump LED is"ON be sure that the Pump is receiving 24 volt power.Remember, when first turning the RO "ON" the unit goesthrough a flush cycle and the pump is inoperative for approx1-2 minutes.

Using a volt meter with the unit on, make sure theres 24 voon the #5 pin on the timer module. If so, check for 24 volts the electrical pigtail coming out of the pump. If power is thereplace the pump.

Check that the backwash LED is not burned out. Checktransformer connections and wall outlet voltage. Check for volts at the unit side of the transformer. If no 24 volts ,replathe transformer. If everything is OK above, replace the timemodule.

    Problem

    Unit cycleson and offcontinuouslyevery fewseconds.

    RO pumpwon't turn on.

    Back flushLED "OFF".
