NEVADA

Nevada is one of the states of the United States located in the Rocky Mountain region. Nevada has the highest rates of population increase of all the United States, thanks largely to the great Mexican immigration into the region.

Nevada é um dos estados dos Estados Unidos, localizado na região dos estados das montanhas rochosas. Nevada possui as maiores taxas de crescimento populacional dos Estado Unidos, em grande parte graças à grande imigração mexicana na região.

NEVADA HISTORY

Nevada tornou-se o estado de número 36 em 31 de outubro de 1864, depois de telegrafar a Constituição de Nevada ao Congresso antes da eleição presidencial de novembro 8 (a maior e mais cara transmissão por telégrafo).

Nevada became the 36th state on October 31, 1864, after telegraphing the Constitution of Nevada to the Congress days before the presidential election on November 8 (the largest and most expensive ever broadcast by telegraph).

• Os primeiros europeus a explorarem a região foram os espanhóis. Estes exploradores deram o nome de Nevada à região por causa da neve, que era comum nos meses de inverno.

The first Europeans to explore the region were the Spaniards. These explorers gave the name of Nevada to the region because of the snow, which was common in the winter months.
