Profile

I am a professional and self-motivated Subsea Engineer, successfully able to work as standalone engineer during running and retrieval of the BOP. Capable of working in a team or as an individual where Health and Safety is the priority. Very reliable, honest and hard working, I have the ability to adapt effectively to any changing situation. I have been covering as night subsea and appraised as ready for succession to subsea engineer since early 2014 however, a position did not become available. Trained to Transocean and Moduspec standards and able to mentor others when needed.

Career History

Sept 2011 to present. Subsea Engineer Deepwater Expedition

Currently working as Night Subsea onboard the Deepwater Expedition drillship which has just completed a successful 2 year contract in the Red Sea for Saudi Aramco. The rig operates:

Cameron TL BOP with ST-locks Cameron DL double Annulars Axon Mux control pods and HPU Cameron HC collet riser connector Vetco SHD H4 wellhead connector Vetco HMF riser system

Oct 2010 to Sept 2011. Trainee Subsea Supervisor M G Hulme.

Joined Transocean as a Subsea supervisor trainee on the Subsea 100/Fast track program. This included successfully completing Moduspec’s Subsea Engineering Program. Rebuilt and commissioned the BOP stack following a major shipyard period. This involved stacking up the Cameron U2 double ram preventers, Cameron DL Annulars plus Cameron and Vetco connectors, including hosing the whole BOP and rebuilt the Cameron pods following fitting repair kits to all SPM and Regulator valves.

Associated Skills

Operate and maintain all subsea equipment, Mux control systems and associated surface HPU and diverter systems.

Operate and maintain Marine Riser Tensioner and Drill String Compensating systems.

Lead the running and pulling of the BOP. Lead the pressure testing and function testing of BOP/Choke & Kill manifold. Operate and maintain BOP handling equipment. Excellent fault find skills and schematic understanding of MUX systems.
