GRADIENTS

This week we added 2 new pallettes and new tool to the real estate on our screen. We added the swatches pallete as well as the gradientpallete and gradient tool. The �rst swatch available was solid colours; second was gradient; third was patterns. We looked atcreating simple gradients by creating a vector shape and selecting a gradient swatch from the pallete. We examined adjusting thedirection by selecting the gradient tool and swiping in a direction across the shape.

We can also adjust the gradient by changing it from linear to radial. Also, from 4 samples we can create any gradient colour blend therainbow can o�er. With the shape selected and the gradient pallete open we can see the paint buckets that are used to create. Byselecting the paint bucket turning its lid from hollow to solid we can eye drop in our nornal colour pallete and change its colour. Thus.manipulated gradient, and a required element of our MYO assignment.

MYO 2020 ... we start it ...

This week we verbally went over the “start up” criteria for MYO 2020. Our new assignment in illustrator. Additional criteria will be introduced as we near its time. No more mocking up and copying...you now have the control as to how you use the software within your own ideas based on the concepts covered in the �rst half of the term. It’s a big one folks ... 25 percent of your �nal mark ... but again like always there are numerous safety checks along the way ... the �rst being the idea stage ... comprehensives ... and i think for the 15th time here it is again...

“kev, can i draw faint lines coming from my ad to act as a criteria guide for myself and as well for you? ... yes. it’s required that you do &keep an eye on the techniques and element criteria while developing comprehensives.
