ESTABLISHING SHOT
This is very important when making and watching a trailer because it sets the scene buy revealing the location and what the character sees. In this case,
Final Destination reveals to the viewers that the protagonist is in an airport whilst Saw paints a picture of a dark room; already establishing the theme of
horror.

NARRATIONNarration is a way of telling a story or describing a scene whilst the trailer is playing.
It demonstrates what the character is thinking or includes taunting words from the villain. We aim to incorporate this feature into our trailer because we want to show the
main characters vulnerability by having her speak over her scenes. In Final Destination, the plane is crashing and the audience can hear the protagonist voice his worries and thoughts; “I got this feeling… This weird feeling”. In Saw, the narration is
coming from Jigsaw, the villain who famously declares; “I want to play a game”.

PRODUCTION COMPANY Trailers usually show the production company because it is very
significant in making the film. The production company name often appears at the start of the trailer whilst tension is being built. We will use this feature in our trailer to coincide with the conventions of the trailer.

FILM TITLEThe film title is always used in the trailer but concerning Final Destination and Saw, the title was displayed at the end. This is an effective idea because after the trailer has been played, the title of the film sums up everything. This could also be important so the viewer is reminded of the name of the film once again and it leaves momentum in a positive way.

CREDITS Trailers often include credits at the end of the trailer but the transition is shown reasonably quickly because it
is not a very exciting feature for audiences. Most film trailers contain credits because it exhibits the people and
the companies who produced and created the movie.

RELEASE DATES Release dates are highly significant in a trailer because it
informs the audience of when the film is released to cinemas. It gives the audience something to look forward to
and despite “This Fall” being quite vague; it provides an idea to the audience of the film being in cinemas.
