This is an important aspect of ICT and the impact grows ever larger as we move more and more of our lives online. This topic is large but broadly strips down into 3 sections:

• Things that are illegal to do concerning a computing • Things that are legal but immoral to do • Things that affect the environment

There are of course, positivise and negatives to the use of computers in our lives and good responses to these questions provide a balanced view when applied. For example, moving to a streaming service is good for the environment as less plastics are used to create what would be the cases and disks. However, the internet uses energy to maintain servers’ businesses who produced the disks and cases will go out of business. On the next few pages are slides that are used to teach this topic in lesson. Please make notes as you see fit and then attempt the questions that follow – these have been taken from the past papers.
