Project Description: Globecast-NY is a full service technology service and solutions provider for State and local Government agencies. Globecast partners with government in the development and implementation of “Automating” Technologies – specifically in the automation of Digital Audio, Video and Data Technology.

Duties Performed:

Developed Test Cases and Test scripts in Test Director. Created Traceability matrix between Requirements and Test cases.

Operated and Troubleshoot in both Manual and Automated Testing of Digital and Analog CableTV Headend, Satellite uplink, downlink, IF, RF turn around,

Terrestrial pass-through, Domestic-C, KU, Hybrid and International Audio, Video and Data Transmission services.

Monitored and QC of Audio, Video and RF signals with Spectrum Analyzer, VM-700, Waveform, Vector Scope, Freqs. Sweeps, and extensive use of DA's, Patch Bays, BTS-Router, the Switch Panel and using various other test equipments.

Video services included but not limited to Maintenance and Troubleshooting ofoccasional and full-time service such as major networks; ABC, NBC, MSG, MSNBC, FoxNews, USA, SCI-FI, Lifetime, CNBC, WPIX, NBC London, TBS-Tokyo, and EBU. Enhanced Robot Test Scripts using Verification Points, and Data pool. Performed Functional Positive and Negative Troubleshooting testing and Operated on Satellite and CableTV STB/IRD’s like; Scientic-Atlanta, Tiernan, NDS, PowerVU, Thomson DigiCipher and Tandberg, and also created and maintain Traceability Matrix.

Tested Audio service including use of Phase Chaser, 3rd & 4th level audio, T-1, ISDN, Telos, APT-Codec, IDR, DATS, IP, VOIP and Phone Couplers for; Westwood One, ABCRN, CNN News Link, and Talk America.

Responsibilities included Testing Digital Compression Encryptions (Leitch, B-MAC, VC-1B,VC-2, and VC2-Plus) and also provided STB/IRD hits for Time Warner Cable and International Satellite Customer authorizations.

Used Test Director for test documentation management and Execution. Managed and used Clear Quest for Change Request and defect tracking.

Generated Modification Requests for failed test cases and assigned them to responsible developers. Categorized bugs based on the severity and interfaced with developers to resolve them.

Coordinated Earth Station Traffic, maintained trouble tickets, filed discrepancy reports and also checked all full-time Time Warner and TCG Fiber logs.
