RECYCLING
means separating, collecting,
processing, marketing, and
ultimately using a material that
would have been thrown away.
Recycling is a key component of
modern waste reduction and is the
third component of the
"Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" waste
hierarchy.

ADVANTAGES OF
RECYCLING
Recycling minimizes the
use of landfills and
incinerators in reducing
waste.

ADVANTAGES OF
RECYCLING
Recycling protects our
health and environment
when harmful substances
are removed from the
waste stream.

ADVANTAGES OF
RECYCLING
Recycling conserves our
natural resources because
it reduces the need for raw
materials.

GOODS MADE OF
RECYCLED MATERIALS

lodging establishments to select
items in packages and
containers made of recyclable
materials such as:

RECLYCLING OF WASTE
Collection
This system lies along the
spectrum of trade-off between
public convenience and
government ease and expense.

The three main categories of
collection are:
Curbside Collection
This program offers scheduled
pickup from separated,
recyclable products from the
curb.

Drop-off Centers
These are sites set up for us to
leave materials for recycling.
They serve as convenient
central pickup locations for
processors or recyclers.
The three main categories of
collection are:
