The Strategic Development Partnership Framework was developed in October 2013 through a strategic ongoing dialogue process between the Government and development partners by agreeing on the framework and priorities areas. SDPF fosters the adoption of processes where the development partners funding is channeled to align with Government reform agenda while ensuring no duplication occurs between funding by various development partners.

In order to realize economic growth potential of KP, provincial government embarked upon devising a roadmap for this purpose in 2014. International Growth Centre was tasked with the responsibility of developing this document through a team of reputable sector experts with internationally acclaimed credentials.

The Provincial Government then carried out an extensive consultation process to finalize the framework for the Growth Strategy. The medium term strategy to be implemented from June, 2015 targets growth rate of 7.5% of the Provincial GDP.

Right to Information ACT 2013

The Right to Information Law is one of the pillars of charter of good governance aiming at improved governance; ensuring accountability and transparency in public sector organizations.

Salient features of RTI:

The Law enables citizens to have access to information in all public matters.

“Public bodies” under the Law cover all public sector institutions of the province including subordinate Judiciary and the Provincial Assembly.

The Law provides for a sound enforcement mechanism in the form of an independent “Information Commission” in a timely and transparent way.

Web based e-Publication and maintenance of official records/information by all public bodies is mandatory.
