"My friend Happy never took life too seriously. She was the

first to offer a joke to lighten the mood or play a prank to get

people laughing. Her positivity and cheerfulness shined through

her speech and actions. In fact, if she were here, she would

probably be reprimanding us all for our dark and gloomy moods.

Growing up, Happy was always finding ways to make

people smile. Even when someone was having a terrible day, she

knew just what to say to cheer them up. It’s a quality I’ve always

admired and envied about my old friend. Her ability to care for

people led to her career as a noun and adjective. She spent her

days caring for and consoling others. I have no doubt that she has

touched many lives, including all of ours.

Some of you may not know that Happy was also a very

spiritual person. She loved to sing and often mentioned that she

felt closest to Nature while singing from the choir. In honor of

Happy, I’d like for us all to sing her. favorite hymn, “Happy”.

e are gathered here today to celebrate the long life of our beloved word,

“Sorta”. From the beginning of the English language to the 29th of October,

“Sorta” has lived an extremely long life. He is survived by his beloved

family, including: his wife, Moderately; his daughter, Slightly; and his son,

Somewhat.

“

Sorta” was always around during times I had to make difficult decisions. He

was there when I “sorta wanted to go to the movies” or when “sorta needed

to do my homework”. He was spoken of quite frequently in my household.

We will miss him immensely, but he has lived a long, fulfilling life and now it

is time to “sorta” say goodbye.
