Flying Squirrels are small rodents that are distributed across the United States and in some parts of Canada. There are two species called Flying Squirrels . They are the Southern and the Northern Flying Squirrel. The species differ in appearance and behavior. They also have a different habitat. However, their home ranges overlap sometimes.

In the center of the food chain is shrew , amphibians , weasel , racoon , insects , and birds and lots more animals.

At the bottom of the food chain is small mammals like chipmunks rats mice and squirrels. Other animals at the bottom of the food chain are salmon , a certain insects , deer , elk and some types of birds and more.
