Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and

adults develop the fundamental skills for life effectiveness.

Feelings fuel behavior, and all behaviors are communication. (For example,

she yelled because she felt mad.) Kimochis® are a playful and engaging way to

teach this feeling-communication-behavior link. Parents and educators can use

the Kimochis® characters, feelings, and storybooks to engage with children and

shape positive behavior and character development. Kimochis® are a tool to spark
