H ey Family,
the Kinard
Family will have a
Weight Watchers
Challenge Competi-
tion aimed at reduc-
ing our numbers and
getting our bodies
that much closer to
supreme healthi-
ness. Lose Weight.
Lose Inches. Lower
cholesterol. Lower
blood sugar. Lower
blood pressure.
Wha te ve r y ou r
healthcare chal-
lenge, you got three
months to get your
numbers down and
win prizes, on top of
being healthier.
T he Black Com-
munity suffers
greatly from Diabetes,
High Blood Pressure,
Hypertension, Gout and
many more preventable
diseases and disorders.
All of which can be
turned around with
proper exercise, eating
the right foods in safe
proportions and getting
your body the rejuve-
nating rest is so des-
perately needs.
A s many of you
know, I’ve
suffered from diabe-
tes for many years.
At one time my doc-
tor had me on 3-4
different pills per
day. When she
wanted me to start
taking insulin injec-
tions, it scared the
hell out of me. I im-
mediately got with a
Personal Trainer and
Nutritionist. I re-
duced stress by retir-
ing from DOC and
selling my two res-
taurants. By God’s
Almighty Grace I
should be off all
medication by the
Reunion this year.

K.E.E.P.
Family, time has come to complete the first phase of K.E.E.P. [Kinard Economic Empowerment Program]. It
was supposed to be completed back in February, during Black History Month. Yet has been extended until June
26, 2016, as some family members expressed the need for a little more time.
Our goal is to purchase the property before the next Family Reunion. Time is getting short. We made some
changes in the program, to help family members out. 1 share is $1,000. Now, family members who might have
doubts, fears or financial restrictions, can purchase a 1/4 of a share for $300.
I cannot keep stressing how important this program is. We are heading toward our 50th year of the Kinard
Family Reunion. We cannot have our young people scratching and begging “Massa” for opportunities. We must
set the example and teach them how to do for themselves.
The jobs we currently have, might not be here in the future. People are coming here from other countries and
are willing to work harder and smarter and for less money. The Asians own 90,000 businesses in the black com-
munity. Everyone is making money in our community, except us. We are too busy arguing and fighting
amongst ourselves.
Even in our own families, people don't get along, don't participate, and don't like each other, over foolishness.
Other races are working together and moving up the ladder, while we stay at the bottom of the barrel. We have
to give our young people a different formula for success. We need as many family members as we can get, to
make this program successful. Even if we don't get the number of people we desire, we continue to believe the
Almighty God will help us to be successful. I pray good health and happiness upon each of you. God bless you.

blood sugar? Is your challenge lowering your blood pressure?

Whatever your CHALLENGE, we are gonna do it together!
Set your intentions, document where you are now and get to
work getting your numbers down. We have 3 months to move
our bodies into a healthier state. To qualify for this challenge,
you must have documented proof from a doctor of where you
started, as of June 1st. You must have documented proof of
how far you’ve come down. Again,
from a professional physician. And
you must bring both with you to the
Kinard Family Reunion in Myrtle
Beach, to win the competition and re-
ceive a luxurious prize.

RetinopathyRetinopathy Proliferative Retinopathy Due To Sickle Cell Disease
The retina is a layer of tissue in the back of your eye that senses light and sends images to your brain. In the center of this nerve tissue is the macula. It provides the sharp, central vision needed for reading, driving and seeing fine detail. Retinal disorders affect this vital tissue. They can affect your vision, and some can be serious enough to cause blindness. Examples are
Macular degeneration - a disease that destroys your sharp, central vision Diabetic eye disease Retinal detachment - a medical emergency, when the retina is pulled away from the back of the eye Retinoblastoma - cancer of the retina. It is most common in young children. Macular pucker - scar tissue on the macula Macular hole - a small break in the macula that usually happens to people over 60 Floaters - cobwebs or specks in your field of vision
NIH: National Eye Institute Sickle Cell carriers are not the only indi-viduals plagued with complications from Retinopathy. DIABETICS are also in dan-ger of eye disorders. Remember, blood is naturally fed to every single part of our bodies. Don’t forget about your eyes; it is how you see and needs care too. Make an appointment and go visit an Ophthalmologist. MESSAGES OF EMPOWEREMNT
A Divine Message for Mother’s Day
Father God, I will give all honor to my Mother;
because she is a divine blessing from You. God
is the glory.
Mothers are the Fruit of the spirit, for this I give
thanks to you Father.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control.” (Galatians 5:22-23
ASV)
No Scientists can clone you; therefore, there is
no replacement for you. Your nurturing style is
fashionable, humble, genuine and of comfort.

A Divine Message for Father’s Day
Prayer to all Awesome and Wonderful Fathers:
Almighty God, I will give all honor to all Fa-
thers, (the earthly warrior) because they are a
divine blessing from You.
“These commandments that I give you today
are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your
children. Talk about them when you sit at home
and when you walk along the road, when you
lie down and when you get up. Tie them as
symbols on your hands and bind them on your
foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of
your houses and on your gates.” Deuteronomy
6:6-9 NIV
