March 13, 2020 Parents, In an effort to improve our reading data scores, we would like to share the DRA rubric with you to use at home with your child. Below, you will find the DRA rubric that teachers use to score your child AFTER they read a story for the DRA test. We encourage you to read the rubric and score your child after reading a story each night. Your child should be aiming for the level 4 categories to receive the highest score on the DRA. The lowest passing DRA comprehension score is a level 16. We will test your child using the DRA again in the spring. To improve your child’s score, please explain the rubric to your child and use it frequently at home. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher.
