Teacher Reminders!

This week in GoMath! we continued Chapter 5 on Addition. The students are now practicing filling in the missing addend on

an addition problem (ex: 1+__=5). They are also learning

that an addition sentence can be written forwards and backwards

(ex: 1+2=3 and 3=2+1).

This week we completed Storytown Lesson 10. We

learned the letter Ii and word wall word ‘come’. Continue to practice word wall words with your child every day at home!

Their knowledge and understanding of these words will help both their writing and

reading.

• Reminder: Wednesday, Nov. 27th is a half day. The buses

will dismiss at approximately 12 noon. If your child will have a different means of dismissal than usual, please notify your

child’s teacher with a note that morning.

• The Fall Fair is scheduled for tonight, November 15th from 6-

8pm. There will be activities, refreshments, entertainment, contests and shopping (book

fair will be in the library)!! Join us for a fun evening!

IMPORTANT! Each classroom is in need of 2 parent volunteers to help

with our Thanksgiving feast on Monday, Nov. 25th from 9:30 until

approximately 11:30am. If interested, please contact your child’s teacher by

Tues, Nov. 19th!

• Our C.A.P. (Caring About People) program runs through Nov. 20th. Please

continue to send in boxed dinners or desserts for those in need!
