List 2 specific symptoms of injury for each of the following tissues: nerve, muscle, epidermis, dermis. • In a small group setting, identify 3 items on a problem list and goal list from specified case studies and develop appropriate interventions using tape as a modality and present to class. Seminar Information: This 8-hour live seminar in Kinesio Taping offers an introduction to Kinesio Taping concepts and techniques designed for nurses (DNP, BSN, MSN, RN, OHN.) The one-day course will provide an overview of the Kinesio Taping Method, fundamental concepts, assessments/screens, and will introduce taping applications to affect various body systems: skin, nervous system, muscle, and circulatory/lymphatic systems. Attendees will problem solve clinical cases requiring the application of one or more Kinesio Taping techniques. Lab sessions provide time to practice assessments and screens, as well as develop palpation and tape handling skills. Each attendee will receive personalized feedback to ensure a thorough grasp of the taping concepts and techniques presented. Upon completion of the course, attendees will be able to discuss and apply the Kinesio Taping Method to a variety of muscular, neurological and orthopedic conditions.

Seminar Description:In order to attend a KC0 seminar each attendee must meet all the following criteria:

• Completion of 1.5 hours of pre-conference learning modules

• Completion of pre-conference module assessments (3)

• Professional licensure in nursing • OR enrollment as a student in junior or senior

year (transcripts must be provided) working towards one or more of the following degrees in nursing: DNP, BSN, MSN, RN, OHN, LPN

Seminar Completion Requirements:Attendee must attend the entire eight hours in order to receive Certificate of Course Completion and Letter of Attendance.

Please bring a pair of scissors and wear appropriate lab attire: tank tops and shorts. Optional: Anatomy text or app for quick reference.
