subject; or, a Level 4 Scholarshipb) Leadership: nominees should have displayed leadership qualitiesc) Cultural Activities: nominees should have made a marked contribution
to the cultural life of the Colleged) Sport: nominees should have made a marked contribution to College
sporting lifeIt is virtually axiomatic that the Foster Prize goes to the best boy, all-round, Senior Prefect. This prize shall be awarded to “students of whom King’s College would be most proud as those who have achieved the ideals of the College.” A wide spread of achievements shall have precedence over excellence in one area.

sporting lifeNominees should have made a considerable contribution to the life of the College. Leadership qualities are very important but Scholastic abilities need not necessarily be crucial. The recipient should exemplify the ethos of the College and in the words of Mr John Taylor go to “people most likely to have taken tea with Geoff Greenbank”.
Harry Maisey Prize Boy of good all-round ability, leadership, character, scholar and sportsperson.
Philip Bird Prize Girl of good all-round ability, leadership, character, scholar and sportsperson.
Stan Empson Prize Boy or girl boarder of good all-round ability, leadership potential realised, sense of service and loyalty.
Val Maxwell Prize Boy from an undistinguished, insignificant first year’s start at King’s who emerged as a leader and a person of authority and exerts a strong influence.
