What is its origin? Kiss is a band of rock and heavy metal

that was formed in 1973 in New York, United States.

The group Kiss history dates back to 1971, when Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley formed the group Wicked Lester, with whom he had recorded an album for Epic Records. But they decide to change and form a new cluster. In late 1972, Simmons puts an ad in Rolling Stone looking for members to form the band. Peter Criss was among those who auditioned and stayed. Already formed the trio begin to experiment with their image, wearing makeup and flashy outfits. in January 1973, joins Paul Frehley.
