Speaker 4/12 - Jim Holder- works with Seminole High School Robotics Team “Spontaneous Combustion” Speaker 5/3 – Soumangue Basse (pronounced sue-mon-gay bass) Coast Guard Pilot, writer, and with a mission to empower individuals in life. Speaker 5/10 – Keith Long ..author and an Op-Ed writer for the Financial Times newspaper in London. Also, had a radio show in Orlando.
If you have a speaker for your program, please provide information 2 weeks in advance so we can get it advertised.
Please check with Linda and make sure your date has not been booked for a speaker. She has done a great job and made it easier on each of us. If you have a speaker it can be coordinated.

THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS:o Fred Flack –he is doing okay- just can’t get going in the early a.m. o Mack and Mildred Graves - during difficult times. Give the family strength
in dealing with this debilitating disease.o Kiwanis Breakfast Club - strength to support community projects and
bring in new members.
MEETING NOTES:o CONGRATULATIONS: Linda Massie has completed her paperwork to join
our club’s membership. Welcome Linda!!!!!! o Weekly Challenge - Contact someone about Kiwanis. o Box Tops – to help support schools. Continue to save and bring in to the
meeting. Box tops collected were presented to Orange Grove Elementary o Fundraiser I – Features sports activity frames/special/pictures-- Fund raiser
continues. o Don Bitting speaking of moving forward with the BUGS program would
like to see if we can do this for Seminole Elementary and Bauder Elementary in the future.
o Bob Lima was explaining a program Bob Grant of the evening club was telling him about. Advertisers would pay a fee to advertise on the Kiwanis website. If we got someone to pay the $30 advertising fee, we get $10 of the $30 fee. These advertisers would be linked to the (I guess evening clubs)
Kiwanis website and the plan being to look on the website when they need services.
o THE CLUB IS THE RECEPIENT OF A DONATION FROM CEEDCO OF $85,000. The funds have been deposited in the Foundation Account and Lee is seeking alternatives to investments that will earn the club interest. THANKS JIM PARKER.

Oakhurst Elementary faculty that are instrumental in the K-Kids program. Loren made a motion to purchase 3 -$50 gift certificates. Don B. seconded. To expand Don Bitting suggested last week that we include Orange Grove educators as well.
