Gods Little Paradise PHILIPPINES Panglao Island is best know for its beach The most popular way to get around Panglao and Bohol is to hire a
tricycle taxi. You'll certainly have no shortage of offers while walking
Bohol
around; there are more drivers than passengers on the island! Negotiate
your fare before getting inside and make sure that luggage is secure on the
back. Tricycle taxis aren't known for speed or comfort, so plan extra time if
you have a boat to catch.

Much of the charm of the
island draws from its unique
geography: Bohol's islands, caves,
rivers, and odd geological for- mations take
their shape due
to Bohol's karst topography: due to an
abundance of limestone in the bedrock, Bohol
boasts of a

s of odd natural formations,
including (but not limited to)
Chocolate Hills.

Welcome to Bohol, the friendly heart of
the Visayas and one of the most at-
tractive tourist destinations in the Philip- pines.
Bohol is famous for its white beaches,
with which it is so richly blessed. Most
famous is of course Alona Beach, but
many more, more remote and more quiet
can be found by the adventurous visitor.
