Environmental and industrial safety, preservation of life and health of people working at the enterprise, reduction of the impact of harmful effects on the environment are the priorities of KKS Service Ltd.

The following measures are taken to achieve these goals: improvement of HSE-MS; compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international treaties, industry standards and regulations governing the company's activities in the sphere of health, safety and environment, etc. identification and assessment of industrial risks, environmental aspects, development and implementation of programs aimed at the gradual reduction of harmful effects on the environment, arrangement of safe working conditions to ensure preservation of health and prevention of accidents with factory workers; implementation and improvement of labor and environment protection control system; requiring the contractors’ employees working at the company’s facilities to comply with the HSE standards, rules and regulations adopted at the factory; involvement of the company’s personnel to actively participate in the improvement of occupational health, industrial safety and environmental protection. Currently, KKS Service Ltd. uses the following special purpose equipment to perform different types of construction and installation works: dumping trucks (MAZ Shaanxi HOWO SHACMAN); excavators (Volvo Hitachi); tank trailer (NEFAZ); bus (PAZ); loaders (Caterpillar); bulldozers (Shantui T-130); graders (XCMG); rollers (Shantui Hamm); cranes (KAMAZ); streamlined semitrailer (Shaanxi); hydraulic lifts (ZIL); pipelayers (TR-12-24)

It also uses additional equipment, such as mobile diesel-power plants, welding machines, mobile filling stations and equipment for pouring fuel and lubricants.

In the period from 2007 to 2009 KKS Service Ltd. completed construction of Aktau Foundry (ALZ LLP) and provided all construction and installation works on its territory.1. General excavation works;2. Construction of bearing and enclosing structures and buildings of II level ofresponsibility, including: - steel frame installation, rod bending; - installation of monolithic, and erection of precast concrete members andreinforced concrete structures, brickwork and filling openings; - roofing works.3. Special works on arrangement of external utility systems and structures,and internal on-site utilities:- hot and cold water supply systems, central drainage system for sewage, industrial and storm water;- installation of internal water supplyand sewage systems;- electrical supply networks and outdoor lights;- internal lighting and electric heatingsystems;

Production of polyethylene pipes (HDPE, LDPE) and polypropylene (diameter from 20 mm to 400 mm, pressure from 4 to 25 atm.) is one of the activities of KKS Service Ltd. The company is equipped with modern programmable facilities produced by KrausseMaffei, Microsan and Battenfeld-Cincinnati, providing the production line capacity of 18 tons per day.Polyethylene and polypropylene pipes are made of high quality certified raw material imported from South Korea.

The quality of finished products of KKS Service Ltd. is confirmed by certificates and test reports of independent organizations, such as Center of Products and Services Certification IC LLP and the Caspian Certification Authority.

The trend of using pressure polyethylene pipes for water supply and sewage systems is stipulated by the obsolescence of existing metal pipeline systems and frequent occurrence of a problem, of leakage, that is diffused infiltration of external water into the drinking water supply system, that is caused by corrosion and low resistance of current systems to pressure surges.KKS Service Ltd. produces pipes for drinking water supply and sewage systems, as well as gas pipelines. Construction and reconstruction of water and gas supply networks with the use of polyethylene pipes saves up to 40% of funds in comparison with traditional methods.

PRODUCTION OF PIPES


Advantages of plastic pipes over metal: - low cost;- durability, 50 years lifetime; - do not require cathodic protection, therefore, they need almost no maintenance; - high corrosion and chemical resistance, resistance in aggressive environments; - no scale formation on the inner surface of the pipe; - low thermal conductivity, reducing the loss of heat and condensation on the outer

surface of the pipe;- low probability of the pipeline destruction when liquid freezes, as in this case the

pipe does not collapse but its diameter increases instead, and the pipe acquires its initial size when the liquid is melting;

- reduced risk of water hammer effect owing to a relatively low modulus of elasticity;- polyethylene pipes are 5-7 times lighter than steel, do not require lifting

mechanisms if transported on short distances during installation; one vehicle carries 5-7 times more polyethylene pipes than steel ones;

- reliability of welded connections during the entire pipeline operation period;- butt welding of polyethylene pipes is much cheaper, easier and takes less time;- possibility of multiple remounting at low cost; - a reliable shield against microorganisms and bacteria; its inner layer does not let

any contaminants to the water.
