Our HSE work shall promote• a good work environment• preservation of the safety of our employees• the safeguarding against damages to health and the environment caused by

products and work processes• prevention of pollution to the environment

In this context Kleven’s businesses shall be workplaces where the employees thrive, where laws are adhered to, customers are satisfied and the operations are profitable. In our guidelines for sustainable operations and development, Kleven has estab-lished the following:• We shall adhere to relevant requirements, both public and internal, regarding

the environment.• We shall have clear environmental goals based on risk analyses, and pro-

grams for following up• We shall work continuously towards improving our environmental achievements• We shall direct targeted efforts in order to use the best environmental solu-

tions for the vessels that we produce• We shall ensure that everyone in our organisation knows our environmental

ambitions and how our business works towards controlling our environmen-tal aspects

• We shall actively communicate our environmental achievements to the gen-eral public

This environmental policy, together with Kleven’s value ‘We shall provide good quality work and be reliable’, shall ensure that Kleven’s targeted environmental measures are integrated into a unified whole where business strategies, daily op-erations and the various needs of our stakeholders are taken into consideration.

In 2013, Kleven Verft AS was certified by DNV to meet the international require-ments in the ISM code ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004. Myklebust Verft AS is currently in a similar process, and is expected to be certified Q1 2016.

Goals for 2014:Sick leave, injuries and unwanted incidents:• Reduce sick leave through preventive measures, facilitation and close fol-

low-up• Reduce injury frequency through correct use of protective equipment, secure

areas of potential risk and through the use of Safe Job Analysis • Increase reporting frequency for unwanted incidents

Environmental goals for Kleven Verft:• Find and implement measures for reducing the use of oil and electricity• Increase the sorting percentage for waste• Seek to reduce the risk for pollution of air and water

Environmental goals for Myklebust Verft:• Prevent injuries and environmental impact from our products/activities• Waste management: Implementing measures in order to increase the sorting

percentage, in particular first-level sorting• Improving energy efficiency: Establish an energy team who will work with

improving the energy efficiency according to the Enova agreement
